A pair of major Xbox games have seen their release windows leaked, with both games rumored to be launching sometime next year. While there is still a month remaining in 2025, Xbox already looks to have a packed schedule throughout 2026 with lots of high-profile releases on the way. A plethora of major games have already seen their release dates revealed, like 007 First Light, Resident Evil Requiem, Code Vein 2, and easily the biggest release of the year with Grand Theft Auto 6 coming on November 19, 2026. Now, two first-party Xbox games have seen their release windows leaked ahead of time.
Xbox Game Studios has plenty of notable games on the way throughout 2026, featuring some of the developer’s most beloved franchises. Microsoft previously confirmed that it was working on a remake of the original Halo with Halo: Campaign Evolved, not only bringing back the classic game but serving as the first Halo game on a PlayStation console. The studio’s beloved Forza racing series will also get a new release with Forza Horizon 6, alongside the revival of the Fable franchise after more than a decade. Some new Xbox rumors are now hinting at release windows for both the newest Forza and a brand-new IP from Xbox.

Forza Horizon 6 and Clockwork Revolution Release Windows Leaked
A pair of new updates are hinting at the release windows for both Forza Horizon 6 and Xbox subsidiary inXile Entertainment’s new IP, Clockwork Revolution. A post shared by prominent leaker NatetheHate hints at the “target” for the newest Forza game, with Forza Horizon 6 reportedly planned to launch in the first half of 2026. The post notably confirms that the recent delay of GTA 6 to late 2026 did not have any impact on the racing game’s expected release. Fans have also discovered a potential hint at the release window for Clockwork Revolution, with former inXile Entertainment writer Nathan Long listing Clockwork Revolution as one of their projects for 2026 on LinkedIn.
While Microsoft has yet to show off any official gameplay for Forza Horizon 6, Xbox has given plenty of hints about the newest game. Forza Horizon 6 will be set primarily in Japan, with players able to visit locations like Mount Fuji, Hokkaido, and Tokyo, with the in-game map said to be the franchise’s largest yet. Microsoft has also emphasized some of the contrasting locations players will be able to visit within Forza Horizon 6, with mountain paths and open roads juxtaposed against the dense city environments of Tokyo. Much like the fifth game, Forza Horizon 6 was also confirmed to be coming to PS5. Meanwhile, Xbox’s other big release window leak brings a brand-new adventure to the table.
Clockwork Revolution will be far from the first time inXile has collaborated with Xbox Game Studios. inXile was officially acquired by Microsoft in 2018 alongside the Xbox developer’s purchase of Obsidian Entertainment, now acting as a subsidiary of Xbox. Clockwork Revolution will debut as a new action RPG for the studio, set in a steampunk city based on Victorian-era England. The game is said to feature time manipulation as one of its major mechanics, mixing first-person shooter gameplay with a variety of steampunk gadgets.

The potential release windows for Forza Horizon 6 and Clockwork Revolution could hint at their appearances at one particular major event. 2025’s Game Awards ceremony will air on December 11, with the annual presentation typically featuring a plethora of new teasers and trailers for upcoming games. Forza‘s early 2026 release window suggests that it will likely feature during the awards show, with Microsoft potentially confirming the release date at The Game Awards. Clockwork Revolution may also receive a new trailer during the show, given the 2026 window will likely see the game debut before the next Game Awards. Xbox fans may have some major news to look out for at this year’s Game Awards, with two major releases coming in 2026.
