Fortnite Arcane Skins Are Finally Making a Comeback After Nearly 1,400 Days
Riot Games and Epic Games have officially confirmed that Fortnite‘s fan favorite Arcane skins will be returning to the popular battle royale’s Item Shop on November 29, giving players a chance to purchase the cosmetics for the first time in 1,393 days. Fortnite is currently preparing to release its major Zero Hour live event, which will bring back a wide variety of collaborations to celebrate the finale of Chapter 6.
While many fans seem to be looking forward to the Zero Hour live event, which is scheduled to begin at 2 PM ET on November 29, a lot of gamers are clamoring to get their hands on any information about what might be coming to the title with the launch of Chapter 7. Epic Games has revealed that Chapter 7 will include a major crossover between Fortnite and Kill Bill. While Fortnite has certainly coordinated extensive collaborations in the past, the Kill Bill crossover seems as if it will be a fairly unique experience. In addition to releasing Kill Bill skins, Epic Games has teamed up with Quentin Tarantino to bring an unfilmed portion of the movie’s original script to life as a short within Fortnite. While Epic Games has never done anything quite like this before, its Simpsons mini-season did feature animated shorts where Fortnite‘s Hope and Jonesy regularly interacted with characters from the hit television series. It seems as if Epic Games isn’t solely focused on new collaborations, however, as it has been announced that an old favorite will be returning soon.

Arcane Returns to Fortnite November 29
In a recent post on Twitter, Riot Games confirmed that Fortnite‘s Arcane skins will be returning to the popular battle royale’s Item Shop on November 29. Currently, the skins haven’t been seen in the Item Shop for 1,393 days, which has caused them to become pretty rare items within the community. Leakers recently revealed that the song “Enemy” by Imagine Dragons will be coming to Fortnite, sparking rumors that Epic Games could be teasing the return of the fan favorite Arcane cosmetics, as the song is featured heavily in the popular Netflix show. Some gamers disregarded the potential teaser, but it seems as if these keen-eyed leakers were correct in their belief that the sudden appearance of the song wasn’t just a coincidence.
While it doesn’t seem as if the collaboration between Fortnite and Arcane will feature any new cosmetics, the official Twitter account for LEGO Fortnite has revealed that both Jinx and Vi will be receiving LEGO styles. In the past, players have been able to purchase Jinx and Vi’s skins individually for 1,500 V-Bucks, though they also have individual bundles priced at 1,800 V-Bucks that include a back bling, harvester, and other accessories. Gamers looking to pick up the cosmetics should act quickly, as there’s no telling when the skins will return once they leave the Item Shop again.
It’s not uncommon for cosmetics to disappear from the Fortnite‘s Item Shop for an extended period of time. For instance, it has been over 1,000 days since gamers were able to purchase the Pac-Man crossover back bling. Similarly, God of War‘s Kratos skin hasn’t been available in Fortnite since 2021, despite the fact that many players have asked Epic Games to make the cosmetic available in the Item Shop again. It seems as if collaboration cosmetics may come with some unique rules, which Marc Merrill has hinted at in the past. When the co-founder of Riot Games first became aware of Fortnite players asking to see Vi and Jinx return to the battle royale, he reached out to Epic Games to see about bringing back the skins. Shortly after, he shared a disappointing update, claiming that the two companies were unable to come to an agreement at that time. Obviously, things seem to have changed, but it has led some fans to wonder exactly what goes into organizing the crossovers, especially when it comes to bringing back existing skins.
Extended absences aren’t limited to collaboration cosmetics, however, as Fortnite‘s original Reflex skin hasn’t returned to the Item Shop since 2019. Epic Games rarely provides any insight about how Fortnite‘s Item Shop functions or why some cosmetics disappear while others seem to return on a regular basis. However, that shouldn’t stop players from enjoying moments where the developers hear the community and respond by bringing back highly requested items. With so much content to explore and a whole new chapter just around the corner, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Fortnite.
