How to Get Flaming Meteor in Where Winds Meet
Flaming Meteor is one of the most powerful area damage Mystic Skills in Where Winds Meet, but unlocking it is a bit tricky for players who do not understand the exact process. Luckily, it is fairly simple to get your hands on it if you know what to do and where to look.
This guide breaks down how to unlock the Flaming Meteor Skill in WWM, including the exact process and some tips on how to get your hands on it slightly easier.
Where Winds Meet: How to Fly
Soar through the skies like a true Wuxia martial arts master in Where Winds Meet by meeting these requirements.
How to Get Flaming Meteor in Where Winds Meet
In Where Winds Meet, the Flaming Meteor Mystic Skill can be learned by deflecting a certain attack from Ye Wanshan (boss) 10 times. The Ye Wanshan boss fight unlocks after players complete the Bodhi Sea mission in Sundara Land in Qinghe, which only unlocks after the events of Chapter One: Heaven Has No Pier.
Bodhi Sea Walkthrough
After you’ve completed Chapter One: Heaven Has No Pier, head to the location marked on the map above, and you’ll find yourself in a swampy bog covered in shadow.
- Follow the sound of the drum beat (shown as a white indicator on-screen) and ring the three drums in the area one by one.
- Return to Zhang Yinmang, and you’ll be transported to Ye Wanshan’s Illusion world.
- Defeat Ye Wanshan once here to unlock him in the Bodhi Sea campaign encounter.
You cannot learn the Flaming Meteor Skill from Ye Wanshan when you fight him for the first time during the Bodhi Sea mission.
After Ye Wanshan has been defeated and you’ve cleared the Bodhi Sea mission, open the map, and you’ll find a red umbrella/hero’s tomb icon above the swamp. Click the button on the bottom right to teleport to this location. Interact with the drum, and you’ll be transported to the Illusion world once more.
Learning Flaming Meteor From Ye Wanshan
Start a fight with Ye Wanshan again, and you’ll notice an eye icon to the right of his health bar. This is the Mystic Skill Learning meter for Flaming Meteor.
Ye Wanshan has a certain move he performs occasionally during this fight where he jumps on his horse and brings his spear down in a direct downward slash, telegraphed with a red glint. Every time you successfully deflect this attack, you’ll see a small cutscene showing your character parrying the move, and the Flaming Meteor Mystic Skill Learning icon will fill up by 1/10.
Deflecting/parrying Ye Wanshan’s other attacks does not increase the progress of Mystic Skill Learning.
You do not need to deflect Ye Wanshan’s downward spear strike 10 times in a single instance; progress will carry over between deaths. For example, if you’ve only deflected Ye Wanshan’s Flaming Meteor attack five times and accidentally kill him in the process, the next time you fight him, the progress meter will start from 5/10, not 0/10. You can check your learning progress by clicking on the Bodhi Sea umbrella icon on the map.
There is no need to spend Energy to claim the chest that appears after you’ve defeated Ye Wanshan to register your progress in learning the Flaming Meteor skill.
Once you successfully deflect this attack 10 times, the progress bar will be completely filled up, and you’ll obtain the Flaming Meteor Skill.
