Marvel Rivals Reveals Patch Notes for November 27 Update
NetEase Games has released a new set of patch notes for Marvel Rivals, giving players a fresh look at everything coming to the game with its November 27 update. Marvel Rivals recently launched Season 5, which added the Strategist Gambit to the popular hero shooter’s ever-expanding roster. While many fans are already looking forward to the title’s major mid-season update in December, NetEase Games has been busy preparing a plethora of fresh content for players to experience before then.
As a live-service title, Marvel Rivals regularly adds new events and modes to the game to keep players coming back for more. Most recently, NetEase Games launched a PvE mode as part of its collaboration with the hit Disney+ show Marvel Zombies. The mode gave gamers the ability to team up with others and face off against waves of the undead. Not every hero was playable, however, as only The Punisher, Magik, Thor, Blade, and Jeff the Land Shark were included in the game mode’s roster. The mode turned out to be a huge success for Marvel Rivals, as the game saw a significant increase in players. With the launch of Season 5, NetEase Games also launched the Elders’ Chessboard event, giving players the ability to complete challenges to earn the free Iron Spider skin for Spider-Man. The Iron Spider costume is a unique red and gold look from the comics that has proven to be popular with many fans.

Marvel Rivals’ November 27 Update Includes Free Rewards
In a recent post on Twitter, NetEase Games outlined all the changes and fresh content players will be able to experience when they boot up the game on November 27. The full patch notes will be listed below, but it’s worth taking a deeper look at the highlights. With the new update, players will be given the opportunity to experience a whole new game mode in Marvel Rivals called 18v18 Annihilation. The mode features a fresh map as well, which is called Grand Garden. While having 36 players on the field at one time looks chaotic, the mode does give fans a fresh way to build teams and face off like never before.
The update is also kicking off Marvel Rivals‘ Anniversary Celebration, giving players a chance to earn 2,500 Units to spend in the shop. While this big pile of Units may allow players to pick up some fresh cosmetics, they also come with a new catch. Many of the Units will only last for a limited amount of time. This means that gamers will need to spend them before the event ends. The game’s currency bar at the top of the screen distinguishes which Units will only be around for a limited time and which ones are permanent. Gamers can see how long they have to spend their Units by highlighting the currency and viewing the details.
The update also includes a new event pass called Jeff’s Break Time, which includes new cosmetics for Jeff the Land Shark, Mister Fantastic, and Invisible Woman in Marvel Rivals. In order to progress the pass, players will need to earn experience by playing matches. After doing so, gamers will be granted silver and gold tokens to use in a virtual vending machine filled with cosmetics. While Jeff’s new Jeff the Business Shark costume can be claimed for free, gamers looking to acquire Invisible Woman’s Disappearing Dessert costume and Mister Fantastic’s Dad-tastic Reed skin will need to purchase the premium version of the pass for 990 Lattice. Gamers looking to pick up even more cosmetics may be pleased to learn that Blade and Venom will be receiving new skins in the game’s shop.
Players looking for a deal might want to check out Marvel Rivals‘ Black Friday sale, which will be launching November 28. Fans will immediately be able to take advantage of a 20% discount on items that launched in Season 3 or earlier, but the savings will continue to stack as gamers buy more cosmetics. NetEase Games will also be bringing back the Season 1 battle pass for a limited time, giving players who missed out on it the first time a fresh chance to pick up some stylish cosmetics options. It appears that Marvel Rivals is just getting started with its Anniversary Celebration, as the patch notes mention that more content and free rewards will be arriving on December 4. With so much content to enjoy and even more on the way, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Marvel Rivals.
