Helldivers 2 Reveals New Warbond for December 2025

Arrowhead Game Studios has finally revealed that Helldivers 2‘s next premium warbond, Python Commandos, will be available for players to purchase after the title’s next big update goes live on December 2. Helldivers 2 was originally released on February 8, 2024, and is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Helldivers 2 has slowed down its fast-paced approach to releasing new content, as the developers claimed that the game was beginning to struggle under its own weight. After the release of Helldivers 2‘s Into the Unjust update in September 2025, many gamers began to complain about unpredictable crashes, poor optimization, and persistent bugs that diminished the player experience. Since then, Arrowhead Game Studios has focused its efforts on releasing patches that address some of the title’s core issues. So far, the new approach seems to be working, as the title’s last few updates have increased both its performance and stability. While some players feel there’s still plenty of room for improvement, a large portion of the community has praised the developer for making great strides. It seems as if fans are about to have their patience rewarded, as some new content is on the way.

Helldivers 2 Reveals Python Commandos Warbond

In a new PlayStation blog, Arrowhead Games Studios revealed that its next Helldivers 2 premium warbond, Python Commandos, will be available for all players to purchase on December 2. The warbond will include three new stratagems and a primary weapon, among other items. The M-1000 Maxigun is a unique stratagem that will allow gamers to wield a belt-fed minigun with a high ammo capacity. The AX/FLAM-75 “Guard Dog” Hot Dog puts a new twist on an old favorite, as this stratagem reimagines the Guard Dog as a flying flamethrower. The CQC-9 Defoliation Tool is a new melee-focused weapon that will allow players to cut down foes with a chainsaw.

The new Helldivers 2 warbond will also include a new armor passive called Rock Solid, which will make players “more steadfast against staggering and ragdolling attacks.” The RS-20 Constrictor is a set of light armor in Helldivers 2 that will afford gamers some protection while remaining light on their feet. Meanwhile, the RS-40 Best of Prey is a set of heavy armor that will sacrifice a bit of mobility for more survivability.

The new warbond will include a wide variety of other cosmetics as well, such as patterns, an emote, capes, and more. In order to purchase the Python Commandos warbond, players will need to acquire some of Helldivers 2‘s Super Credits, which can be purchased with real money or earned in-game. With so much content to enjoy and even more on the way, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Helldivers 2.
