Black Ops 7 Is Making Major Battle Pass Changes in Season 1

By newsgame

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 developer Treyarch Studios has announced some major changes to the game’s seasonal Battle Pass ahead of its big Season 1 update on December 4. Call of Duty fans have often complained that new Battle Passes take too long to complete and require too much grinding, which is why Treyarch will be implementing tons of new adjustments with Black Ops 7 Season 1 that should make things a lot easier for casual players.

The very first season of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is now just a little over one week away, with tons of new content set to be introduced as part of the free update. The official Season 1 Roadmap was revealed this week, confirming the return of some iconic Black Ops maps: Meltdown, Standoff, and Fringe. The latter of which will be added to the game during Season 1 Reloaded, which usually arrives approximately one month after the season begins.

Treyarch Studios Announces Black Ops 7 Battle Pass Changes

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 1 isn’t all about content, though, as Treyarch Studios will also be bringing even more changes to the series with the update. According to the studio’s latest Twitter post, it plans to “significantly improve” the Battle Pass with Season 1 on December 4. The first adjustments will shorten completion times for a more “satisfying journey,” meaning players will earn rewards more quickly than they did in Black Ops 6. There will also be fewer Tiers in the Pass’s earlier pages, allowing players to progress much quicker.

Finally, Treyarch says it will now allow players to earn Battle Pass Tokens via Call of Duty‘s Daily Challenges, which are now also available in Black Ops 7‘s Co-Op Campaign and Endgame. Battle Pass Tokens can be earned “on certain days,” according to Treyarch. But once unlocked by a player, they can be used immediately. These changes are just some of the many adjustments that have been made since the game’s launch this month, as Treyarch says it wants to ensure players’ time is rewarded more than ever in a Black Ops game.

Despite these overwhelmingly positive changes, Black Ops 7 is the lowest-rated Call of Duty game ever in terms of user score. According to Metacritic, the latest entry in the series has a user score of 1.7, not only making it one of the lowest scores of the year, but the worst user-reviewed Call of Duty game to date. Although there have been tons of praises for the game’s Multiplayer, much of the disappointment comes from the new Co-Op Campaign. However, its critic score is much higher, with an overall score of 69.
