Black Ops 7 Reveals Season 1 Roadmap

By newsgame

The full Season 1 roadmap for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has been officially revealed, detailing major additions coming to the game’s Multiplayer, Zombies, and Endgame modes, as well as some new features coming to Call of Duty: Warzone. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 1 is set to begin on December 4, with most of its content being available to anyone who owns a copy of the game or anyone who’s playing via Xbox Game Pass.

Unlike the record-breaking launch of last year’s entry, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has had a bit of a rough start. Though Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has performed solidly among critics, and fans have generally praised its multiplayer component, Black Ops 7‘s sales seem to be down dramatically in several regions when compared to past entries, and the reception to the game’s campaign has been overwhelmingly negative.

But Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 1 is looking to turn things around with what Treyarch is calling the “biggest Season 01 ever.” The official Season 1 roadmap definitely supports this lofty description, with its graphic being packed to the brim with new content for all of the game’s modes:

  • Multiplayer:
  • 4 brand-new maps: Fate, Utopia, Odysseus, Yakei (In-Season)
  • 3 remastered/returning maps: Standoff, Meltdown (In-Season), Fringe (In-Season)
  • Holiday variant of Hijacked
  • 9 new/returning modes: One in the Chamber, Prop Hunt, Sharpshooter, Sticks and Stones (In-Season), Gun Game (In-Season), Codmas Holiday Havoc (In-Season), Codmas Snowfight (In-Season), Takeover (In-Season)
  • New Deadeye Drone Scorestreak
  • 7 new weapons: Maddox RFB (Battle Pass), Ballistic Knife (Weekly Challenges), Kogot-7 (Battle Pass), Sokol 545 (In-Season event), Sturmwolf 45 (In-Season event), NX Ravager (In-Season), Hawker HX (In-Season event)
  • New attachments for Akita, MPC-25, M8A1, Coda 9, and AK-27
  • Endgame:
  • 4 new world events
  • 8 new exotic skills
  • Zombies:
  • New round-based map: Astra Malorum (in-season)
  • 2 new Survival maps
  • Directed Mode for Ashes of the Damned
  • New Wonder Weapon: LGM-1
  • New robotic enemy: O.S.C.A.R.
  • New Field Upgrades
  • Returning Perk: Mule Kick
  • Warzone:
  • New map: Haven’s Hollow
  • New Verdansk POIs: Signal Station and Factory
  • New casual and limited-time modes
  • Loadout changes: 5-attachment maximum, Overkill on by default, Wildcards removed, build sharing with Black Ops 7
  • New equipment and perks

Some of the most notable additions coming in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 1 are four all-new maps, three returning maps from past CoD entries, and the nine new modes all coming to multiplayer. The latter addition is especially exciting given that party game modes like Gun Game, Sticks and Stones, and One in the Chamber are always very popular among long-time Call of Duty fans. It’s great to see Call of Duty Zombies take up such a large portion of the Season 1 roadmap with its new map, enemy type, Wonder Weapon, and more. Though fans will need to wait a little while longer to experience the new content as it won’t be arriving at the start of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 1.

Along with this Season 1 roadmap, Treyarch has also confirmed some changes coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7‘s Battle Pass. Battle Pass Tokens will now be available in some daily challenges, earlier pages of the Black Ops 7 Battle Pass will be shorter, and the general time needed to unlock Battle Pass rewards has been reduced according to feedback Treyarch received during Call of Duty: Black Ops 6‘s lifetime.
