Introducing Sekiguchi is Marathon‘s final priority contract from CyAc that will unlock the Sekiguchi faction. You first need to reach Level 12 to access the Outpost map, as both objectives can be found here. While a dangerous map filled with hostile Runners, you should focus purely on the two-step objectives.
This quest will take you to Flight Control’s south side for the Necrotic Sample, and then to southeast Orientation to scan your Shell. Below, we’ll give you the step-by-step to ensure an easy completion without the need to exfil.
How to Get the Necrotic Sample in Marathon
Step 1: Inject the Necrotic Sample in Southern Flight Control
- Head to the second-floor workshop in the south area of Flight Control, on Outpost.
- In the northeast corner, you can search the drawers to find the Necrotic Sample.
- Upon picking up the Necrotic Sample, you will automatically inject it.
- You will now need to complete Step 2 in the same run, or else you must repeat Step 1.
How to Scan Your Shell in Marathon
Step 2: Scan Your Shell in Southeastern Orientation
- Head to the southeast area of Orientation’s building.
- Inside the second floor, you can find the colony intake room, which is indicated by the blue walls.
- Inside the colony intake room, you’ll find a scanner that you can stand inside.
- Wait inside the scanner while the “Necrotic Sample Injected” icon is on your HUD.
Once Step 2 is completed, the contract is complete, and you won’t be required to extract. After handing in the contract with CyAc in the Factions page, you can unlock Sekiguchi as your final faction.
