Exfil on Outpost in Marathon is restricted unless players acquire a Master Clearance Code. In order to get the Master Clearance Code, players will need to head to rooftops on POIs to find a terminal that can be interacted with. Without a Master Clearance Code, players can’t escape alive.
Below, we’ll outline the most effective ways to get the Master Clearance Code, along with another, more unknown way to exfil so that you always have a way out, even when the timer is running really low.

How to Exfil on Outpost in Marathon
- Head to the rooftops of POIs like Orientation, Flight Control, Dormitories, and Tarmac.
- Look for a terminal with a red interface and a yellow antenna.
- Interact with the terminal, and after a few seconds, a Master Clearance Code will drop.
- With the Master Clearance Code, head to any locked Exfil Station and use the Master Clearance Code on the terminal beside it.
Master Clearance Codes are the only key item that can access Exfil Stations in Marathon. Without one, you only have three options to exfil:
- Find the Tox Warden, usually at the Dormitories, and loot him for the Master Clearance Code.
- Wait until the Exfil timer hits 0, and then just ONE Exfil Station will open. Careful, as all other players left alive will need to get to this station too.
- Look on the map for Guarded Exfils, which won’t require a Master Clearance Code, but will be surrounded by UESC enemies, and may draw unwanted attention from hostile Runners.
