Genshin Impact Reveals Event Banners for Version 6.2

By newsgame

Genshin Impact has officially confirmed the Event Banners for Version 6.2, as the first half will be headlined by Durin and Venti, with the second half featuring Varesa and Xilonen. Though Version 6.2 marks the debut of Durin as a playable character, Genshin Impact will also feature some key reruns in the upcoming patch. Introduced in Version 5.5, Varesa is the only Natlan 5-Star who did not feature a second time on the Event Banners. Version 6.2 will be her time to shine, especially for Genshin Impact players who enjoy the Plunging Attack playstyle.

Unfortunately, Version 6.2 won’t feature a Mondstadt Chronicled Banner in Genshin Impact, despite the update introducing a set of buffs for certain Mondstadt characters. The Hexerei Rite will augment the ability kits of Mona, Venti, Klee, Albedo, Razor, Sucrose, and Fischl – with some buffs being independent, and others requiring two Hexerei characters to share a team. Notably, Durin will also count as a Hexerei character, making him an ideal teammate to some of the oldest 5-Stars and 4-Stars in the game.

Genshin Impact players can get an early look at the banner lineup for Version 6.2, as well as see which 4-Stars they can obtain for free.

Genshin Impact: Version 6.2 Event Banners

First Half

  • Durin – 5-Star Pyro Sword
  • Venti – 5-Star Anemo Bow
  • Jahoda – 4-Star Anemo Bow

Second Half

  • Varesa – 5-Star Electro Catalyst
  • Xilonen – 5-Star Geo Sword

As revealed by Genshin Impact across social media, the Event Banners for Version 6.2 will feature the following characters: Durin and Venti in the first half; Varesa and Xilonen in the second half. In addition to Durin, Jahoda is set to make her gameplay debut in Version 6.2, and Genshin Impact players will be able to pull for her on the Venti and Durin banners. Whereas Durin can either be played as a Pyro driver or support, Jahoda in Genshin Impact is firmly a 4-Star Anemo healer for Lunar Reaction teams.

While not yet confirmed by HoYoverse, datamining has revealed that Gaming and Chevreuse will also feature on the Event Banners in Version 6.2. Given Varesa’s preference for Overload teams, it’s highly likely that Chevreuse will be in the second half. Furthermore, with the Hexerei system being showcased in Version 6.2, it’s also likely that Razor, Sucrose, or Fischl will make a banner appearance in Version 6.2. Another likely candidate that players should consider is Iansan, due to her natural synergy with Varesa in Genshin Impact.

There is one more notable thing about the banners in Version 6.2 – Venti’s Signature Weapon. Elegy for the End is being replaced by The Daybreak Chronicles. Whereas Elegy for the End was primarily a support bow, The Daybreak Chronicles is made for a hypercarry version of Venti. Players will be able to obtain it on the Weapon Banner in Genshin Impact during the first half of the update. Version 6.2 is set to launch on December 3, 2025.
