Make Sure You Log In to World of Warcraft and Get Your Free Feats of Winter Veil Gifts
Christmas is here, which means World of Warcraft has three surprises waiting for players under the Feast of Winter Veil tree: the Rolling Snowball, Jubilant Snowman Costume, and the Tiny Snowman Buddy. Fans can pick up these free exclusive rewards in World of Warcraft right now simply by visiting the Feast of Winter Veil tree before the event wraps up on January 2.
Every year since 2007, World of Warcraft leaves presents under the Feast of Winter Veil tree on December 25. These gifts, which can be opened once per character, usually contain one or more brand-new toys or pets, along with a smattering of familiar holiday consumables and items. For instance, last year, World of Warcraft gave out three gifts for Winter Veil: the Box of Puntables toy, the Winter Veil Cracker toy, and the Portentous Present battle pet.
World of Warcraft Housing Mailboxes Will Actually Work in Midnight, But That Might Only Be the Beginning
Mailbox decor in World of Warcraft’s Housing system will work once Midnight arrives, which could be a sign of some amazing improvements on the way.
World of Warcraft Feast of Winter Veil 2025 Gifts
- Rolling Snowball toy
- Jubilant Snowman Costume toy
- Tiny Snow Buddy battle pet
Now that Christmas has officially arrived, players have a short time to claim a few more free items for the Feast of Winter Veil. The Rolling Snowball and Jubilant Snowman Costume toys, along with the Tiny Snow Buddy battle pet, await fans in the various gifts they can find under the tree. Simply collect and complete the quests handed out by the presents themselves before the event ends on January 2, then open the gifts to permanently add them to one’s collection.
The Rolling Snowball toy lets one’s character pack a large snowball, and then hop on it to roll around for a short time, shrinking until it disappears. Meanwhile, the Jubilant Snowman Costume transforms players into a snowman with randomized hat and scarf colors that can then throw out Mischievous Presents that attack nearby NPCs and characters with snowballs, all while gaining the ability to throw even larger snowballs themselves. Both toys leave behind piles of snow that can be picked up and thrown, and have virtually no cooldown during Winter Veil, but otherwise can be used once every 10 minutes. Lastly, the Tiny Snow Buddy is a miniature World of Warcraft battle pet version of the newer high-resolution model used in the costume.
If fans aren’t able to get these free items before they go away, all hope is not lost. The Winter Veil gifts from previous years usually have a low chance of dropping from the Stolen Present that can be obtained by completing the Abominable Greench daily quest during the World of Warcraft holiday event. Unwrapping these gifts also awards their matching Feat of Strength achievement.
Where is the Feast of Winter Veil Decor for World of Warcraft Housing?
While these toys and battle pet are wonderful additions to any collection, they shut the door on something players have had a big question about: Housing decor. Over 60 different Winter Veil-themed Housing decor items have been discovered within the files by content creators like MrGM, many of which were even usable in the World of Warcraft: Midnight beta. Even so, none of these holiday decorations found their way into the live game at any point.
It is unclear exactly why these items weren’t added during Winter Veil this year. Technically, Housing is only in early access right now for fans who own World of Warcraft: Midnight, but everyone can collect decor, so no one would be excluded from getting them. Either way, it seems like players will have to wait another year to start bringing holiday cheer into their in-game homes.
Between the missing holiday decor items and the absence of any new content during the bulk of the event, this year’s Feast of Winter Veil in World of Warcraft was a little disappointing. That said, the development team is likely hard at work putting the finishing touches on Midnight, so at least it is an understandable circumstance. Either way, these charming Winter Veil gifts have helped to improve an otherwise lackluster event, and hopefully, Midnight will be all the better for the extra attention.
