What To Do With Extra Gear in Nioh 3

By newsgame

Exploring the different regions in Nioh 3 while finding collectibles and completing the Myths, players will acquire a lot of equipment for their character. Getting newer and rarer weapons and armor pieces as players progress in the game is important, as these can increase overall damage and defense.

As the game puts a limit on how much gear can be stored in the stash, one might question what to do with extra gear, but don’t worry, as the Nioh 3 guide below has all the information you need.

One of the first things you can do with extra gear is to drop it. Now, this might not sound like a good idea, and let’s not get it wrong, this is not suggested in 90% of cases. However, in cases where you did not notice the limit and reached it with items available to pick up, you can drop low-level weapons or armor pieces to make room for new stuff.

Once again, this is not the ideal method of getting value from extra gear, so it’s better to check how your item box is looking.

An important part of the game is leveling up, and for that, you will need Amrita. You can farm Amrita from enemies, but there is another way to get some while also taking care of your extra gear. Go to the Preparations tab in the Shrine and select the “Make an Offering” option. Here, you can select equipment and offer it in exchange for Amrita. If you maxed out the familiarity of a weapon, it will sell for more.

In the Facilities tab of the Titles options, you can find a few challenges related to offering items of a certain rarity. Try to complete these to get more Prestige.

Your other options are linked to the Blacksmith in the Eternal Rift. After talking to her for the first time, you will be able to forge equipment and tools. These require materials that you can get from disassembling pieces of equipment.

After completing the “A Fierce Flame” quest for the Blacksmith, the Soul Match and Soul Extraction options will open up. Soul Match allows you to upgrade your gear using the Yellow Soul Ores and Azure Souls that you can acquire by Soul Extraction.

In the early levels, it is best to offer the white and blue gear while dismantling the purple and yellow items. Since you will keep getting better rarity and higher-level gear, it is best not to use Soul Extraction until you reach the endgame.
