Xbox Game Pass Adds Day-One Action Roguelite Game

Monsters are Coming! Rock & Road and The Crew Motorfest have joined the lineup of titles available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC subscribers, with the former being a day-one release. Xbox Game Pass adds fresh titles every month for subscribers of all tiers to enjoy, with several becoming available on launch day and adding to the appeal of becoming an Ultimate or PC subscriber despite the recent price increases.

In November so far, Microsoft’s gaming subscription service has added a range of exciting titles in a variety of genres, and many more are planned through the end of the year. Most recently, on November 19, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate added the action RPG Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, while two previously day-one titles, Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo and Revenge of the Savage Planet, made the transition to the service’s Premium tier six months after launch.

Monsters are Coming! Rock & Road Joins Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

On November 20, the tower-survivor action roguelite Monsters are Coming! Rock & Road made its way to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Developed by Ludogram and published by Raw Fury, the goal of the game is to gather resources, build a city, and prepare its defenses. The caveat: the city is on wheels, constantly on the move, and heading to the Arch. Along the way, there just so happen to be monsters, bosses, and lots of fire to deal with. Players will choose a class to suit their play style, level up, build and make repairs to their city, and maybe diverge onto side paths to see what helpful treasures can be uncovered.

Also coming to Xbox Game Pass on November 20 is The Crew Motorfest, the 2023 racing game developed by Ubisoft Ivory Tower. The sequel to The Crew 2, this third entry in the popular series will take Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers to an open-world Hawaii, where they will have more then 700 vehicles to pick from for a series of racing events. These include the expected cars and motorcycles, but also boats and planes. The Crew Motorfest, which is entering its third year post-launch, still receives free content updates from the developer. Season 8, for example, began on November 8 and introduced 21 more vehicles, new collaborations with BMX and ONX, two more playlists, and quality-of-life features like Friends Pass and Looking for Crew.

Also Coming to Xbox Game Pass in November

Subscribers still have a couple more additions to look forward to before the end of the month as well. Don’t Nod’s Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden will be joining Xbox Game Pass on November 25, as will an arachnophobe’s nightmare or revenge, Kill It With Fire 2. Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden currently has a rating of 4.5/5 on Xbox and a 79% on review aggregate site OpenCritic. In this narrative-focused action RPG, two characters, Red and Antea, are spirit hunters out to find the source of a curse plaguing the titular New Eden’s communities.

As its title suggests, Kill It With Fire 2 is about spiders, which have unfortunately spread across the entire multiverse. Players take on the role of Exterminators, whose sole focus is seeking out the critters and striking them down, with fire, wherever they might be hiding. Whether in single player mode or online co-op, would-be spider slayers will jump into interdimensional portals to do their job, finding and upgrading over-the-top weapons along the way.
