The blacksmith inside the Eternal Rift has a quest for players in Nioh 3. She asks you to gather some famed hidden blades found in the Heian Era so she can examine them to regain some of her memories back. You need to explore mostly the southern areas of the Era to find them and complete the Memories in the Blade Myth. Here’s where to find all the famed hidden blades in Nioh 3.

Memories In The Blade Myth Guide In Nioh 3
To trigger the Memories in the Blade Myth in Nioh 3, you need to complete the Sacred Mountain Defiled main quest in the Heian Era. After that, head back to the Eternal Rift and speak with the blacksmith to start the Myth. She asks you to search for three blades that were created by master craftsmen.
Famed Hidden Blade Location #1
Speak with the blacksmith again, and she’ll tell you the location of the first blade after doing some research. Head to the western side of the Hachijo area and teleport to the Nishiichi Shrine.
Go up the northern slope and climb the ladder. Turn west and destroy the boxes to find a Spirit Vein. Use it to reach the other side, then go around the house to the back. Grab the Dojikiri Yasutsuna hidden blade from the tombstone.
Famed Hidden Blade Location #2
Upon giving the first one to the blacksmith, she asks you to find another after marking it on the map. Head to the west side of Sagano by fast traveling to the Matsuo-taisha Shrine: Great Torii Shrine.
Go up the stairs and turn left to destroy the bamboo hiding a secret entrance. Turn left again and jump onto the roof of the abandoned house, then go through the hole. Open the chest to get the Mikazuki Munechika hidden blade.
Famed Hidden Blade Location #3
The final blade is located inside the Crucible and only available during the Frozen City, Blazing Tree main quest. Explore the Crucible until you access the Palace Grounds: Shunka Gate Bodhisattva Statue. Go up the nearby slope and fight the yokai inside the house. Open the chest to obtain the Odenta Mitsuyo hidden blade.
Players can re-play the quest using the Battle Scroll in the Shrine if they missed the blade.
Give the blade to the blacksmith, and she’ll remember everything, including her name and who taught her the ways around forging weapons in the first place.
Senji Toyo then thanks the players and tells them that she can now craft more items thanks to her memory, completing the Memories in Blades Myth in Nioh 3. You will also get a Smithing Text for each famed blade you found, making them available for crafting.
