By newsgame

A lot of the games in recent times, regardless of genre, have started adding multiple endings. Depending on the game and story, the process of getting these endings can vary. Code Vein 2 only has three endings, all of which players can acquire in a single playthrough. However, for the last endings, players must complete extra steps beforehand to get them. That said, the endings are not missable, and the guide below explains how to get them all in Code Vein 2.

All endings in the game have a Trophy/Achievement tied to them, which unlocks automatically during the credits in most cases.

This is the main ending of the game that you will unlock first. There are no requirements for this ending. All you have to do is follow the main objectives by completing Josee, Lyle, and Holly’s arc, which will unlock the fourth region, Insula Carcere. Here, you will have to complete the fourth hero’s storyline and proceed to the final area.

Inside the final area, you have to deal with multiple Pathos, which means fighting three bosses in different corners of the area. Defeat the final boss, which will cause the credits to roll, and you will unlock the first trophy.

After completing the “A Hero’s End” ending, you will go back to the main menu, where you will see Zenon pointing at the “Continue” option. Pressing continue will put you back after the events of the first ending, and Zenon will inform you to meet him. You will find yourself at the point before the final boss, where the protagonist will collapse. After coming to, you need to make your way to Insula Carcere. Miraculous Bonds Ending

The “Miraculous Bond” or true ending of the game is the only one with requirements you have to complete. At the start of the game, during Noah’s arc, you have to go back to the past and save Noah. This starts a segment with a challenging boss fight, after which you will change the history of MagMell, completing the first step.

After this, you have to restore the fading bonds for the three heroes located in Sunken City, Corroded Scar, and Undead Forest. For Holly’s fading bond quest, you have to acquire the two Camillo’s Remnants and make your way to the past, where you will fight the Retainer of Idris. After this, make your way to the Sanatorium, where you will have to go through multiple memory sections with Holly while also exploring the Underground Sanatorium dungeon.

After going back up top to the Sanatorium, and a few cutscenes later, you will find yourself in the Memory Realm that you have to traverse through. There are several levers here that make bridges, which act as paths that lead forward and shortcuts in case you were to get knocked out. At the end, you have to fight another boss, after which you can return to the present, changing the history in Undead Forest. You now have to return to the Sanatorium to fight Hero Holly to complete the quest.

Once you have changed the Undead Forest’s history, you can visit the Sanatorium to grab Lise’s Hair Ornament to start Josee’s fading bond quest. Head back to the past by interacting with the bond at Josee’s Outpost and survive the ambush. Once you return to the present, head to the Hill Overlooking Clock Tower and go southeast.

At the tower, you will spot a girl who gives you the key to the Underground Shelter behind her. Head inside and, after the cutscene, go back to the present, where you will watch another cutscene before leaving for Bureau Castle. The castle is located to the southwest of Undead Forest. This area is inaccessible during the Present and only unlocks during this quest. At the castle, you will face a powerful boss, after which you will return to the present, changing the history of Sunken City. You can then fight Hero Josee by unsealing her cocoon to complete this quest.

For Lyle’s fading bond quest, you have to fast travel to MagMell and head back to the 2187: Free Exploration Era. Go to the Forward Base One: North Mistle, and you will find Lyle there. Talk to him and go back to the present to find Lyle’s Rusted Sword at a grave. With the sword in your possession, head back to the past and fast travel to the Pioneer Castle to talk to Craig.

After this, you will have to explore the Sealed Great Mine, where you will fight a boss at the end. Once this is over and you are in the present, head back to Pioneer Castle to talk to Craig before fighting Hero Lyle and complete this quest.

Once you have completed all of these quests and changed the history in the four regions, you have to complete the Luna Fraterna ending and go to the main menu. Here, you will have a new option, “Save Lou“. Select this to start the final segment, where you have to go through multiple boss fights.

After you have interacted with all the monuments, you can head on over to the Mistle right before the fog gate and enter to initiate the final boss. Once the boss has been defeated, the final cutscene will play out, completing the true ending of the game.
