Genshin Impact Reveals Second Half Banners for Version 6.3
With the Lantern Rite underway, Genshin Impact is about to launch its Event Banners for the second half of Version 6.3, featuring Zibai and Neuvillette as the 5-Stars. While Columbina in Genshin Impact has undoubtedly been the star of Version 6.3, and arguably, Nod-Krai as a whole, she is meant to be a foundation for Lunar Reaction teams rather than its main driver. Much like Nahida for Alhaitham, Columbina’s role is to elevate the potential of what Nod-Krai hypercarries can do, be it Lunar-Charged, Lunar-Bloom, or Lunar-Crystallize.
While Nefer and Flins in Genshin Impact represent Lunar-Bloom and Lunar-Charged, respectively, Zibai exists to push Lunar-Crystallize to its limits. Her best teammates include Columbina and Illuga, with the latter making his debut alongside Zibai as a 4-Star Geo Polearm support character. In terms of gameplay, Zibai has a front-loaded Elemental Burst and deals the bulk of her damage through an Elemental Skill gauge that accumulates points for every Normal Attack and Lunar-Crystallize triggered by the team.

Including Zibai, the Event Banners for the second half of Version 6.3 will feature Neuvillette, Illuga, Aino, and Gorou. Players who aren’t interested in a Lunar Reaction team can easily skip Zibai, especially if they already have Flins or Nefer on their account. However, newcomers who are still figuring out the game may consider pulling for Neuvillette in Genshin Impact. While his spot in the meta is no longer what it used to be in 2023, Neuvillette remains one of the easiest characters to play, and his teambuilding is extremely versatile, offering options for Hyperbloom with Ineffa and Lauma, Freeze with Citlali and Escoffier, and his standard hypercarry team with Xilonen and Kazuha.
When considering the 4-Stars on the Event Banners in Version 6.3 of Genshin Impact, Illuga arguably brings the most to the table. He is a dedicated support character for Lunar-Crystallize, making him an ideal teammate for Zibai, but also for other Geo hypercarries such as Navia and Itto. Illuga scales with Elemental Mastery, and his Elemental Burst provides a buff to Lunar-Crystallize damage, making the Favonius Lance his best-in-slot weapon. On the other hand, both Aino and Gorou can greatly contribute to Zibai’s teams, as Aino can fulfill the role of a budget version of Columbina, while Gorou has notable synergy with both Illuga and Zibai.
Unless Zibai or Neuvillette fans dearly want their respective Signature Weapons, it is a poor time to gamble on the Weapon Banner in Genshin Impact. Both the Lightbearing Moonshard and the Tome of the Eternal Flow are highly specialized weapons, incapable of providing universal value akin to the Staff of Homa or the Elegy for the End. Thankfully, Zibai can make use of other 5-Star Signatures, such as the Uraku Misugiri, Light of Foliar Incision, or Flute of Ezpitzal.
In terms of funds, Genshin Impact is packed with Primogems in Version 6.3, allowing players to earn up to 139 Intertwined Wishes (with Welkin Moon and Battle Pass). Assuming they haven’t emptied their wallet for Columbina, fans will be able to guarantee a copy of Zibai or Neuvillette before the end of the patch, or continue to save for the upcoming banner characters of Version 6.4 – Varka, Flins, Skirk, and Escoffier. One thing to keep in mind is Linnea, a Nod-Krai 5-Star rumored to make her playable debut in Version 6.5. Linnea is intended to be a Lunar-Crystallize character, but it remains to be seen whether she will occupy a role similar to Zibai or Illuga. Genshin Impact players who fail to obtain the two Lunar-Crystallize characters in Version 6.3 may find themselves with a suitable alternative just a few months down the line. The second half banners for Version 6.3 launch on February 3, 2026.
