Battlefield 6’s Defibs Are Broken Right Now
The most recent Battlefield 6 update appears to have broken defibrillators, as numerous players are reporting that the gadget is no longer working as intended. Thankfully, a developer at DICE has responded to the issue and said that the studio will investigate, hopefully meaning a fix will be delivered in the next Battlefield 6 update. Players can still use the gadget, but it is reportedly extremely inconsistent when reviving a downed teammate.
As is the case with many live-service titles, the most recent update may have introduced some new issues, but it also fixed plenty of other Battlefield 6 bugs and introduced a plethora of new content for players to check out. The November 18 update came as part of continued support for Battlefield 6 Season 1, adding a brand-new map, a limited-time game mode, and more. Battlefield REDSEC fans also have some new content to check out, as the patch added a new Gauntlet mission, a sandbox Portal map, and more.

Battlefield 6 Looking Into Broken Defibs
Unfortunately, the most recent Battlefield 6 update also appears to have introduced a pretty major issue. In a new Twitter post, content creator Westie noted that defibrillators, a gadget exclusive to the Support class, are currently broken. “So many of the hits are failing,” he said. Thankfully, DICE is seemingly aware of the issue and is investigating a fix. Florian, a principal game designer for Battlefield 6, said the studio has seen “quite a few reports” of the same problem. There’s no word on when this bug will be rectified, but it’s good to know that DICE is already on the case.
Players are also reporting numerous other issues since this week’s update, including the targets in the firing range not resetting, keybinds being reset, and more. While the next major update is planned to be released on December 9, fans can hopefully expect a new hotfix to be released well before then in order to address some of these issues. DICE has ensured that any issues are rectified promptly, such as the infamous Battlefield 6 drone bug, which allowed players to ride the gadget into the sky and gain a height advantage that shouldn’t be possible.
Unfortunately, bugs aren’t the only thing about the latest update that has disappointed players. Many have already taken issue with the new Battlefield 6 map, Eastwood. Fans are once again criticizing the map for its lackluster size, the placement of objectives on Conquest, and more. It’s unfortunately become just the latest map to draw criticism from the Battlefield community, as many are blasting DICE for the “COD-ification” of the series.
