Best Maps in Battlefield 6
Battlefield 6 brings back the franchise’s signature all-out warfare experience to a total of nine maps on launch, with plenty more waiting to be added as the game’s seasons roll out. The maps differ in size and theme, and they each offer completely unique experiences, which means not all of them will play or feel the same.
In this guide, we’ll be going over each of the multiplayer maps in Battlefield 6, giving players some insight on how they’re laid out as well as their general feel, vehicle availability, and other worthwhile information.
All Weapons in Battlefield 6
Looking for a complete breakdown of all Battlefield 6 weapons you can use in the game? Here’s all 45 of them listed by weapon type.
Updated November 18, 2025: Battlefield 6 Season 1 introduced two new maps to the core game experience along with the enormous Fort Lyndon Battle Royale map, which players can use parts of to create new experiences in Portal. All maps are set in Southern California, and both are in relatively larger play spaces compared to the original list of maps. We’ve updated this guide to include both new Season 1 maps, and we’ve also re-evaluated some of the map rankings here based on changes and our own experiences after playing Battlefield 6 some more.

Siege of Cairo |
Small/Medium |
Set in the tight streets and alleys of Cairo. This map features intense infantry combat, and it has just enough space for armored vehicles to roll out. |
|
Liberation Peak |
Medium |
Engage in a full combined arms battle over a mountainside village and military base. Liberation Peak has many medium and long-range sightlines with tense close-quarters fights inside its main points of interest. Keep your head down and watch for snipers, attack helicopters, and jets. |
|
Empire State |
Small |
Wage war across a small portion of New York in this action-packed, infantry-only map with up to 64-player matches. |
|
Manhattan Bridge |
Medium |
Manhattan Bridge is a larger version of Empire State set in a different part of New York. Here, players will be fighting on the streets and rooftops in the neighborhood below the eponymous Manhattan Bridge, all while armored vehicles and helicopters sweep across the battlefield. |
|
Saint’s Quarter |
Small |
Saint’s Quarter is another infantry-only map, except this one is limited to small modes like TDM, King of the Hill, and Domination. It features plenty of close-ranged fighting across tight alleys and apartment buildings. |
|
Iberian Offensive |
Small/Medium |
Set in the same locale as Saint’s Quarter, Iberian Offensive has the same general feel as the previous map, except it has room for IFVs and land transport vehicles. Expect a lot of close quarter fights and plenty of shotgun users. |
|
Mirak Valley |
Large |
Mirak Valley is the largest map in Battlefield 6, and offers the full combined arms experience with tanks, jets, and helicopters. Teams will fight over a wartorn countryside in one of the game’s most cinematic maps so far. |
|
New Sobek City |
Medium/Large |
Set near the Great Pyramids of Giza, New Sobek City gives both teams land vehicles and helicopters to support the bloody, building-to-building combat that infantry will have to brave. |
|
Operation Firestorm |
Medium/Large |
This classic map from Battlefield 3 still features a full combined arms experience, but it has also been modernized — it now has a denser layout with plenty of cover for infantry to fight over. |
Season 1
|
Eastwood |
Medium/Large |
A quiet Californian suburb has turned into a battlefield for NATO and Pax forces. Eastwood features a little bit of everything, from close and long sightlines for infantry, large play spaces for vehicles, and enough airspace for helicopters. |
|
Blackwell Fields |
Medium/Large |
Blackwell Fields is set in an oilfield in California, and here, players will be fighting over big swathes of war-torn land using every vehicle the game has to offer. This map caters more toward vehicle players, so if you’re a fan of infantry, this might not be the map for you (unless you mostly play Breakthrough) |
Best Conquest and Escalation Maps in Battlefield 6
- Mirak Valley
- Eastwood (NEW – S1)
- Operation Firestorm
- New Sobek City
- Siege of Cairo
- Manhattan Bridge
- Liberation Peak
- Blackwell Fields (NEW – S1)
- Iberian Offensive
- Empire State
Conquest is the quintessential Battlefield experience that features an open sandbox for players to participate in. It is arguably best enjoyed in large maps that offer the full range of vehicles, and we’ve ranked the maps above according to how well the game mode feels while playing in them.
Mirak Valley is one of the best maps in the franchise when it comes to large-scale Conquest gameplay thanks to its overall vibe and the layouts of its key objectives, and it is followed closely by the rest of the maps for the same reasons. Players will need to bring their A-game if they want to dominate this game mode on these maps.
Iberian Offensive and Empire State are ranked low here not because they’re bad maps, but because they’re heavily-focused on infantry, and they offer very little breathing room between encounters. If it feels like you’re always getting flanked in these maps, that’s because you are.
Season 1 Maps
Blackwell Oilfields is the opposite of Empire State and Iberian Offensive. Its heavy focus on vehicle combat results in a lot of players ignoring objectives and camping hills with tanks and snipers. Infantry players are going to have a bad time here unless they’re playing with a full squad who can coordinate their movements.
Eastwood falls more in-line with the classic Battlefield map design. It’s not too big, but it’s spacious, and it has enough varied environments to cater to every playstyle. The unique Rail Gun battle pickup on this map also allows both teams to counter vehicles without having to swap to the Engineer class.
After a few hundred hours playing Conquest and Escalation across all applicable maps, we’ve raised Siege of Cairo up a few ranks here because it flows better than the others below it.
Best Breakthrough Maps in Battlefield 6
- Siege of Cairo
- Eastwood (NEW – S1)
- Manhattan Bridge
- Mirak Valley
- New Sobek City
- Empire State
- Blackwell Fields (NEW – S1)
- Operation Firestorm
- Liberation Peak
We originally pegged Mirak Valley as the best Breakthrough map in BF6, but after spending many matches in it, we’ve decided to peg it down to fourth place because of how difficult it is for the attacking side. Eastwood has taken over its spot at the top thanks spacious playing field and decent balance between both sides.
However, it’s worth noting that Eastwood plays very differently compared to other maps on Breakthrough because of its larger play area. Attacking and defending is a bit harder here because of how open the flanks are for both teams. The final sector is significantly harder to attack compared to the others, though.
Liberation Peak has the bones of a good Breakthrough map, but its long sightlines attract a ton of sniper players, and when half your team is sitting at the very back of the map, attacking and defending can feel quite frustrating. The same thing applies to Operation Firestorm and Blackwell Fields.
Iberian Offensive is not available as a Breakthrough map in official playlists.
Best Close Quarters Maps in Battlefield 6
- Empire State
- Saint’s Quarter
- Iberian Offensive
- Eastwood (NEW – S1)
- Blackwell Fields (NEW – S1)
- Manhattan Bridge
- Siege of Cairo
- Mirak Valley
- Operation Firestorm
- New Sobek City
- Liberation Peak
Empire State and Saint’s Quarter are designed to be infantry-only maps, and if you’re looking for experiences similar to Operation Metro or Operation Locker from the previous Battlefield games, these are the maps you should be playing on. Just keep in mind that Saint’s Quarter is meant specifically for smaller game modes like TDM, King of the Hill, and Domination.
The rest of the maps also offer small-mode versions, and out of all of them, New Sobek City has what is arguably the best layout for CQB with its many empty buildings. The same idea applies to Iberian Offensive, though it can feel like an absolute meat grinder at times.
Overall, CQB variants for each of the maps are good, and if you like infantry-only combat, you can’t really go wrong with any of them. However, some players might find maps like Firestorm, Liberation Peak, and New Sobek City to be a little frustrating — players who are outside might have difficulty spotting enemies peaking from windows due to how the in-game lighting works.
Season 1 Maps
Both Blackwell Fields and Eastwood have surprisingly good CQB map layouts, though the latter is a bit better than the former because of how much better the lighting is.
