Where to Find Bloodcap Mushrooms in Hytale
Taking damage and finding ways to heal are going to be constant sources of trouble for players in Hytale. A good meal can restore a bit of health instantly (plus some more over time), but nothing quite beats an actual Healing Potion when it comes to getting back on your feet. These kinds of potions are fairly easy to craft, but getting materials for them can be a bit of a hassle, especially early on when players are yet to get a good farm going. Bloodcap Mushrooms in particularly can be tricky to get in Hytale, but once you know where they can be found, then gathering enough for a decent stockpile of potions becomes less of an issue.
How to Get Blood Rose in Hytale
Blood Rose is a crafting material required to make certain healing potions in Hytale. Here’s where to find it.
Hytale Bloodcap Mushroom Locations
You can find Bloodcap Mushrooms in autumn zones in forest biomes. However, the thing about these mushrooms is that they only appear at night. This makes things a little easier since they glow bright red, so the next time you go out at night into these mini-biomes, go toward the light. Of course, nighttime means you’ll frequently encounter void monsters, so gear up and get ready to defend yourself.
Bloodcap Mushrooms also grow in the big hive areas in desert biomes. You can find these by looking for big, muddy patches of land filled with oil and bones. Mushrooms of various kinds can be found growing on the surface. Bloodcaps don’t seem to grow underground, though, which is good because the hives are full of giant bugs that want to eat you alive.
Unless you really want to get Bloodcap Mushrooms in the desert, we recommend sticking with the forest zones, or building a teleporter for quick travel. Scaraks are very deadly, so it’s better to avoid them.
How to Get Bloodcap Mushroom Seeds
If you don’t want to keep foraging for Bloodcap Mushrooms, you can grow them at home instead. For that, you’ll need to get the Bloodcap Mushroom Seed (or Bloodcap Spore Bag) recipe; you can randomly get this by breaking Bloodcap Mushrooms with a tool. Of course, breaking Bloodcaps this way won’t yield any actual mushrooms for you to use. Also, Bloodcap Spore Bags can only be crafted by using a level 9 or higher Farmer’s Workbench, so make sure to upgrade yours before you start breaking those valuable mushrooms.
What are Bloodcap Mushrooms For?
Bloodcap Mushrooms are one of the main ingredients for crafting Greater Health Potions. You need three of them to craft one potion, so you’ll really want to get a farm going if you want to make big potion batches. They’re one of the better healing options in Hytale, as a single Greater Health Potion can restore up to 75% of your max health in 5–6 seconds.
