Flute of the Tides Mystic Skill Location in Where Winds Meet
The Flute of the Tides is one of many new Mystic Skills added to Where Winds Meet in the Hexi expansion. As for how to acquire this Mystic Skill, teleport to the Peaceward Camp Boundary Stone northeast of the Karez Boundary Stone and speak to an NPC across from the teleport indicated with an instrument icon above his head.
After exhausting his dialogue, a musical minigame may be triggered, or you can first “Play Music” to enter it, in which you must reach “Lingering Echoes” rating to advance. Once you’ve reached this rating, the Monk NPC will commend you on your musical gifts, and you’ll receive the Flute of the Tides Exploration quest.
Speak to the NPC, Monk Unknowing, once again to start the quest, and he’ll give you two locations to play the flute in honor of the fallen Anxi heroes who “still can’t find peace.” These locations are Whitecrown Fortress and the Heroes’ Graves, in which you must play a segment of the melody to progress.
You can teleport to Fortress Pass Boundary Stone and head east to the marked quest location to play the flute before teleporting to the Horsehelm Village Boundary Stone and head south to the marked quest location and play the flute again. Once you’ve completed these objectives, return to Monk Unknowing near the Peaceward Camp Boundary Stone and exhaust his dialogue, where he’ll award you with the Flute of the Tides Mystic Skill.
How to Upgrade the Flute of the Tides Mystic Skill in Where Winds Meet
Stormbone Bloom Flowers Mystic Breakthrough Material Locations
After acquiring the Flute of the Tides Mystic Skill, you can immediately equip this Mystic Skill before using it during combat. However, to improve this offensive skill and increase its damage output, you’ll need to upgrade it, but it requires a new Mystic Skill Breakthrough material, Stormbone Bloom Flowers, which can be farmed in the Hexi region.
These flowers have a chance to drop when gathering Rainbone Flowers, or you can purchase the Mystic Skills Breakthrough Support Box from the in-game Battle Pass and Season Shops, respectively. Another option is to challenge the Skeletal Bloom world boss, who can be found near the Outside Whitecrown Fortress Boundary Stone, lure the boss from its location before trapping it with the pavilion building while in Build Mode.
The Skeletal Bloom boss will spawn a few Stormbone Bloom Flowers in its second phase, which you can gather while it’s trapped. Once the Skeletal Bloom boss is downed, you’ll need to find other Skeletal Bloom boss locations in the Hexi region, including northwest of the Poplar Bazaar Boundary Stone and north of the Howling Sand Boundary Stone, by looking for clusters of Rainbone Flowers.
