Heartopia: Cooking Hobby Guide
Cooking in Heartopia is more than just making meals. When done right, it can perfectly synergize with your other hobbies.
How to Plant Flowers in Heartopia
Flower planting is tied directly to the Gardening Hobby, and you’ll begin working with flowers at around Gardening Level 3. At this point, visit Blanc on Garden Street to purchase your first flower seeds and start the introductory flower quest. This is where flowers truly become part of your routine.
Unlike crops, flowers cannot be planted in boxes. Instead, they have to be planted directly into bare soil on your Home Lot. Once you plant a flower, it cannot be moved until it matures the following day. Some higher-level flowers can take more time to grow, even when watered, so planning your layout ahead of time is important.
You’ll unlock flower seeds as your gardening level grows in Heartopia, starting with simple options like Daisies and Pansies, then moving on to more elegant blooms like Roses, Lilies, and Orchids.
Each flower begins with base colors, like red, white, and yellow, but the real magic happens through crossbreeding.
All Flowers And How To Crossbreed Them in Heartopia
Crossbreeding is unlocked naturally as part of the gardening system. Once you can plant flowers, the mechanic is already active. To trigger crossbreeding:
- Plant flowers close together in bare soil.
- Water them regularly with your watering can.
- Invite other players to your lot and let them water your flowers.
When flowers are planted close together, there’s a chance they’ll produce entirely new colors, such as pink or orange. Every time a flower is watered, it has a chance to crossbreed with nearby blooms. The more people who water your flowers, the better your chances.
As you level up, the Cultivation Expert skill increases the chance of crossbreeding after watering. You can also purchase Rainbow Breeding Powder from Blanc to further boost your results.
