How to Find Dinosaurs and Dino Biome in Hytale

By newsgame

With its first patch after release, Hytale has added one of the most anticipated features into the game: Dinosaurs and the Dino Jungle (Ancient Jungle) Biome. This lost world is home to many secrets, creatures, loot, and of course, various species of Dinosaurs players can defeat (not yet mount).

So, if players are up to the challenge to face these ferocious monsters, here’s a complete step-by-step guide on how to find Dinosaurs and the Dino Biome in Hytale.

This guide will help players find Cindercloth Scraps, a material in Hytale that plays an important role in the crafting of weapons and armor.

How to Find Dinosaur Biome in Hytale

The Dinosaur Biome is a tricky place to spot in Hytale, and to find it, players need to travel to the volcanic Biome and look for small, round yellow spots in the map. These are generally volcanos that have a big treasure trove at their center, so descending there could prove to be tricky (unless players use the creative mode, that is).

The Dinosaur Biome is located underground, and spawns exclusively in these areas. Once players manage to cross the lava river sepparating them from the ancient jungle, they will start noticing there is a whole new ecology system below ground.

Unlike subterranean caves, ice caves, lost temples, and underwater caves, the Dino Biome is way more open and easy to traverse. Here, players can find species like T-Rex, Triceratops, Velociraptor, Pterodactyls, Archaeopteryx, and Man-Eating Venus Fly Traps.

For the moment, these cannot be tamed. So, players will need to wait for further patches to use them as mounts and unleash their power upon the surface world.

On the bright side, there’s a whole new biome to explore, filled to the brim with remains of the ancient civilization, some of which make perfect spots to build a base in the Dinosaur Biome.

There are also lots of hidden treasure chests in this location, so keep an eye out for them. Most of them have Thorium or Adamantite Tier loot, so they are worth checking out every time you see one.

Finally, it is also worth noting that there are other materials here, like Jungle Log, Pink Blossom Flowers, and Talt Red Rafflesia. For the moment, there are no special items or recipes related to them, but as the game is in Early Access, it will be better to save the spot in the world using a Portal (for easy fast travel) to visit once new crafting blueprints are unlocked in the future.

For the moment, players can use Jungle Logs and the stone blocks of the Dinosaur Biome to build simple structures. But these mats cannot be processed into anything else.
