The Single Most Important Item You Should Always Loot in ARC Raiders
Loot is everything in ARC Raiders. After all, it is the very premise of the game and the reason Speranza’s Raiders travel to the surface in the first place. From an abundance of crafting materials to powerful weapons to valuables that serve no purpose apart from being sold for money, there is no shortage of lootable items in ARC Raiders. In fact, there is so much loot to be had in the game that players might find half the battle to be managing their inventory back at base. In the end, each trip Topside becomes a constant balance of choosing what to keep and what to leave behind.
That’s not always easy, though, especially when things like the player’s Workshop in Speranza or ARC Raiders‘ Expeditions require so many unique items in order to progress. And with such limited backpack space on the surface, players might find themselves regularly swapping out items they had initially picked up with others they consider more valuable. While what is “most valuable” is often subjective and changes according to each player’s needs, however, there is one item that players should always make space in their backpacks for, regardless of their needs.
Blueprints Are the Single Most Important Item in ARC Raiders
Most ARC Raiders players would likely agree that Blueprints are the single most important item in the game, so they should always be looted. There may actually never be an excuse for not looting a Blueprint, unless, of course, players want to kindly allow friends in their squad or other players in an ARC Raiders solo round an opportunity to take them instead. Players even go so far as to express why Blueprints are so valuable in various online forums, like user mathieufoote in a recent Reddit post, for example. Mathieufoote even argues that Blueprints shouldn’t be removed from the game on account of players complaining that they act as progression walls, with their point being the feeling of satisfaction that comes with finding one and how the game gives players plenty of opportunities to adapt without them.
Why Blueprints Are So Valuable
The reason Blueprints are such a valuable item in ARC Raiders is because they have long-term results. Almost every other item in the game acts as a currency of sorts, and whether it contributes toward crafting powerful gear, upgrading the Workshop, or merely being sold is entirely up to the player. Blueprints, on the other hand, grant players the permanent ability to craft some of ARC Raiders‘ best gear — like Wolfpack grenades and the coveted Anvil hand cannon — instead of waiting for them to shop up in one of the Traders’ inventories. In fact, some of ARC Raiders‘ best items can only be crafted upon finding the Blueprint for them and will never be available for purchase from a Trader.
Once players find a Blueprint in ARC Raiders, they can “Learn and Consume” said Blueprint to unlock the ability to craft it in their Workshop. However, even after a Blueprint has been learned, it is still a valuable item to pick up on account of how much it can be sold for. Every Blueprint in ARC Raiders can be sold for 5,000 coins, making them one of the more valuable items in the game, even apart from their use.
Best spots to farm Blueprints in ARC Raiders:
- Formicai Outpost (Dam Battlegrounds)
- Raider Outpost East (Dam Battlegrounds)
- New District (Buried City)
- Shipping Warehouse (Spaceport)
- Control Tower A6 (Spaceport)
- Village (Blue Gate)
- Adorned Wreckage (Blue Gate)
- Pilgrim’s Peak (Blue Gate)
Again, while it’s likely that most ARC Raiders players will agree that Blueprints are the most important item in the game, that will depend on what players are in need of or what they personally consider to be more valuable to them. While on the surface, for instance, players might find ARC Powercells and Rubber Parts to be more valuable, simply on account of the Shield Rechargers they can be used to craft. Still, Blueprints are always valuable, whereas items like Shield Rechargers are more valuable when they are needed.
