Shadow Milk Cookie Skills and Abilities in Cookie Run Kingdom, Explained
Shadow Milk is a Magic type cookie that stands in the middle row during all mini and major fights. His main Puppet Show skill picks the enemy with the lowest health (except Safeguard ones) and sends creepy puppets to circle around them. These puppets then weaken that cookie and its nearby friends. When his move ends, he finishes with a Grand Finale that hits all enemy cookies.
If the target cookie gets defeated before the Puppet Show ends, he summons a Soul Phantom (which is a ghost character) in their place. That ghost stores the damage it takes and then throws it back at enemies.
With that said, Shadow Milk also drops an Eye of Truth at the start of the match, which is his passive skill. This eye charges up every time your team gets any debuffs or he uses his skills. Once it cycles like four times, it clears all negative effects from your team and powers up this trickster.
The unique thing to note here is that even if Shadow Milk gets taken down, he comes back in shadow form, and during this time, his max health increases a lot, along with his resistance to both direct and indirect damage. His Eye of Truth ability also changes into the Eye of Deceit, which adds extra damage, provides some self-healing, and refreshes his Taint effect.
Cookie Run: Kingdom – Burning Spice Cookie Build and Best Toppings
Burning Spice is one of the five Beast Cookies in Cookie Run: Kingdom, and he’s known for his crazy combat skills. Here’s the best build for him:
Best Toppings for Shadow Milk Cookie in Cookie Run Kingdom
Since this Cookie is pretty unique and super handy, the right build can make him even more effective. The best topping for the Shadow Milk Cookie in Cookie Run Kingdom is definitely Deceitful Chocolate. Ideally, you’d want to use a full set and equip five Deceitful Chocolates in the respective slots. Shadow Milk has an 11-second cooldown, which makes him a bit slow to charge in battles and limits his potential.
However, using these blue toppings will not only reduce his ability cooldown but also grant higher bonus stats once upgraded, making Deceitful Chocolate outperform the regular Swift Chocolate version.
For those who don’t know, these blue Deceitful Toppings can be obtained through Mysterious Toppings, which are readily available in the Event Shop or Catnip Shops. A single Mysterious Topping costs 1,500 crystals in the Event Shop, which can feel a bit pricey for fans who regularly spend on Gacha pulls and other in-game mechanics.
If you’re low on gems, you can use the active CRK codes listed here for a quick refill, or try other ways to get crystals. As for Catnip Shops, you can find them during Special Episodes, so this method is exclusive to players who have already progressed in the game. Just make sure to claim the Deceitful variant when opening the Mysterious Toppings.
Shadow Milk’s overall power can easily exceed one million, with over 170 ATK when played smartly, which means he can crush almost any opponent. To improve the damage of this jester cookie, Deceitful Raspberry is your best option. As mentioned earlier, simply equip five blue raspberry toppings.
Players who can’t afford these premium pieces can also opt for Searing Raspberry M for the time being. If you want to squeeze more value out of Shadow Milk’s buffs, five units of Sweet Candy M are worth considering.
Upgrading the toppings to max level (12 as of now) with the best substats is just as important to make Shadow Milk the ultimate beast (focus on ATK, Cooldown, and DMG Resist). Since these are randomly assigned to toppings, it’s worth buying more Deceitful variants to chase the perfect combination. Don’t forget to max-level and promote the cookie as you collect its Soulstones to make it truly unstoppable.

Best Tarts and Beascuits for Shadow Milk Cookie in Cookie Run Kingdom
Your Tart must complement the toppings you’re using on Shadow Milk, since they increase the main stat six times. Like toppings, they also come in three types: Common (XS), Rare (S), and Epic (M). Here are the suggested options depending on your setup:
- Swift Chocolate Tart M (with the Deceitful Chocolate set)
- Searing Raspberry Tart M (when you’re using all Deceitful Raspberry)
- Sweet Candy Tart M (when you want to focus on buffs)
If you’re unsure how to get these Tarts, just go to Into the Depths (check out this guide on unlocking mines if you haven’t already), then enter the Workshop section and craft the Epic ones using 1 Butter Amber + 20 Sugar Ores + 200 Flour Stones (all of which you obtain from ventures and mining). The results will also be randomized, so you’ll need to burn through resources to land Chocolate, Raspberry, or any other Tart you want.
As for Beascuits, the best one for Shadow Milk in Cookie Run Kingdom is the Legendary Zesty Beascuit. It pairs well with Swift Chocolate, upscaling his cooldown stats even more. Plus, it’s the only Beascuit made for Magic-type Cookies like him. Aim for ATK and HP as its primary stats, then DMG Resist, Cooldown, and ATK as additional ones. You can always reset the Beascuit to obtain the stats you desire.
