Teleporters are extremely useful structures in Hytale, as they allow players to instantly travel across large distances. This feature makes it very easy to traverse the map and quickly return to your base, and players are advised to set up a network of Teleporters as soon as possible. Fortunately, it is not extremely difficult to build those structures, and this guide should help players that want to start fast traveling in Hytale.
This guide was written at the beginning of Hytale‘s early access period, and it may need to be updated over time.
How to Make Teleporters in Hytale
Arcanist’s Workbench
The first step towards making Teleporters is setting up an Arcanist’s Workbench. Here are details about the process that leads to the establishment of that crafting station, and players should be prepared to spend some time mining:
- Build a standard Workbench through the Pocket Crafting menu. That menu is accessed by pressing Tab and clicking on the hammer next to the character portrait.
- Upgrade the Workbench to Tier 2 with 30 Copper Ingots, 20 Iron Ingots, and 20 Linen Scraps. Those ingots can be obtained by smelting the associated ores, which can be found underground, in a Furnace, and Linen Scraps are earned by defeating humanoid enemies.
- Craft the Arcanist’s Workbench at the upgraded Workbench with 10 Thorium Ingots, 30 Linen Scraps, and 20 Essence of the Void. The Thorium Ore that is smelted into ingots can be found underground in the desert biome, while Essence of the Void are earned by dispatching the void enemies that appear at night.
Once an Arcanist’s Workbench has been established, players craft Teleporters at it by combining two Azure Kelp, eight Azure Logs, and 10 Stones. To collect those Azure items, players should head to an azure forest, which appear as blue-green areas on the map. Players should then cut down the trees that they find there and collect any purple and white flowers they see emerging from pools of water.
How to Use Teleporters in Hytale
Make Links
After crafting some Teleporters, players should place one at a location that they want to be able to fast travel to, interact with the structure, and give it a descriptive name. Players can then place a second Teleporter anywhere on the map, interact with it, and select the first Teleporter from the dropdown at the top of the menu. All that is left to do now is walk through the Teleporter to be instantly transported to the selected structure.
Players can create large networks of Teleporters, which will allow them to fast travel across the entire map. Additionally, a Teleporters target can be changed at any time through the aforementioned dropdown, making it very easy to travel directly to any placed structure.
