Genshin Impact Leaks 3 New Characters for Version 6.3

According to a reliable source in the Genshin Impact community, the team at HoYoverse is adding three new characters in Version 6.3: Columbina, Zibai, and Illuga. Much like Version 5.3 in 2025, Genshin Impact is aiming for a strong start to 2026 by adding three characters to the playable roster. Whereas Version 5.3 was led by Mavuika, the star of Version 6.3 is intended to be Columbina – the Moon Maiden of Nod-Krai and former Fatui Harbingers. Columbina is expected to be a 5-Star Hydro Catalyst who provides buffs to Lunar Reactions, but Version 6.3 may have more in store for players than just the debut of a capstone to Nod-Krai teams.

The second half of Version 5.3 hosted the Lantern Rite, and the same schedule holds true for Version 6.3. As such, it is expected to introduce a new Liyue character to Genshin Impact, and all the rumors point towards it being the Celadon Mare, an Adeptus with ties to the Frost Moon and to Istaroth. While earlier speculation placed the Celadon Mare as an Anemo character, the truth may be different from what most players initially assumed.

Thanks to recent datamining, Genshin Impact players can get a valuable overview of upcoming Nod-Krai characters all the way to Columbina’s release.

As revealed by Uncle Kokomi via the development build of Version 6.3, the upcoming patch will introduce Columbina, Zibai, and Illuga as playable characters. The leak was backed by several sources in the Genshin Impact community, and while leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, Kokomi’s track record speaks for itself. Seemingly, Columbina in Genshin Impact will be a dedicated support for Lunar Reactions, with her Hydro damage comparable to Furina in terms of output. On the other hand, the Celadon Mare will be introduced as Zibai – a 5-Star Geo Sword hypercarry for the Lunar-Crystallize reaction. Given Columbina’s role, it is safe to assume she and Zibai will have synergistic kits.

To complete the trio, Genshin Impact will allegedly also introduce Illuga, a 4-Star Geo Polearm, whose ability kit will support the Lunar-Crystallize reaction. Illuga was previously mentioned by Varka and Flins during the Archon Quest in Version 6.1, and he’s been described as an exemplary member of the Lightkeepers. Given his ability kit, it is safe to assume Illuga will be Zibai’s favored teammate. Provided Kokomi’s information is accurate, Version 6.3 will likely debut Columbina in the first half, leaving the second half to Zibai and Illuga. As a Genshin Impact character from Nod-Krai, it’s unlikely that Illuga will feature in the Lantern Rite selector for 2026.

Notably, Version 6.3 will also introduce a new map expansion to Genshin Impact, implying that players won’t be able to pre-farm for these characters. Official information about Columbina, Zibai, and Illuga should come out in early January 2026, though public datamining should be available shortly before December 3, 2025.
