Claim All Launch Rewards
The first thing you should do as a new player is grab all your launch rewards. If you pre-registered, make sure you claim them as soon as you log in. These rewards include 400 Moonlight Crystals, 60 Exhibition Passes, 20 Wishing Stars, and 4,000 Gold. All of these currencies are super useful for customization and progression.
During the first week of launch, daily login rewards are also available, including a white sedan vehicle that lets you drive freely around the map.
There are also sign-in rewards that include Moonlight Crystals, Wishing Stars, repair kits, and furniture dyes. Even weekend logins give 50 Moonlight Crystals, so checking in consistently really pays off.
Make the Most of Seasonal Updates and Events
Heartopia runs on a seasonal system, and each season brings unique content, fashion, festivals, and rewards. The first season is Winter Frost Season, starting on January 24th.
During this season, some creatures can get frostborn infections, which means you can find rare seasonal bugs, fish, and other collectibles. You can earn seasonal rewards like ornaments, gift eggs, and trophies. Plus, there will be a bunch of special seasonal activities and limited items.
Focus on Your Development Guild (DG) Level
Your Development Guild (DG) level is one of the most important progression systems in Heartopia. You can increase it by completing resident requests from NPC neighbors around town. These requests can include taking photos, collecting materials, catching fish, or even delivering items.
As your DG level increases, you unlock new hobbies and abilities, new furniture and decorations, new story content, and new systems. If you’re ever unsure about what to do next, completing resident requests is always a safe and productive choice.
Use Transportation to Save Time
While walking is peaceful, it can feel really slow. Thankfully, Heartopia gives you free transportation early on. You can use a scooter to move around quickly. If you claimed the launch rewards, you’ll also have a white sedan to use.

The best part is that you don’t need to delete your main house. You can actually save multiple blueprints of different houses and different builds. You can have your main house and a separate blueprint for co-op and switch back and forth by selecting the blueprint and placing it on your plot. This lets you experiment freely without fear of ruining your main home design.
Adopt Pets and Interact With Wild Animals
You can adopt multiple pets of the same type, and each one has unique traits and personalities. Always check their traits before choosing, as some suit certain play styles better. You can also crossbreed different pets to come up with new coat patterns.
You can also find wild animals spread across different regions of the map. To raise your relationship level with animals, you need to feed them their favorite foods. At higher relationship levels, animals will unlock special actions and adorable interactions.
