Fortnite’s Stick of Truth Will Let You Control the Storm
After months of rumors, Epic Games has officially announced that the massively popular television show South Park will be crossing over with Fortnite, bringing the powerful Stick of Truth to the battle royale as a mythic item that gives players control over the storm. While this is the first time characters from the show will be coming to Fortnite, South Park made its debut on television in 1997. The show has made headlines numerous times over the years, often poking fun at controversial topics in pop culture.
Fortnite has a long history of collaborating with popular franchises, often bringing iconic characters to the battle royale as skins. In November 2025, Epic Games launched a themed mini-season as part of its crossover with The Simpsons. This was one of the most extensive collaborations in the history of the game, as it launched with a whole new cel-shaded map and a battle pass stuffed with cosmetics from the television show. Many collaborations also come with game-changing mythic items, which can include a wide variety of powers and abilities. For instance, as part of its collaboration with the recent film Superman, Epic Games released a mythic item that allowed gamers to become the Man of Steel for a brief period of time. It seems as if the upcoming collaboration with South Park will include one of these powerful mythic items, giving players a whole new way to interact with the storm.

South Park’s Stick of Truth Will Give Players Control of the Storm
The rumored collaboration between Fortnite and South Park has finally been made official and, while there are plenty of items from the show coming to the title, the Stick of Truth promises to be a true game-changer for the popular battle royale. During a match, players will have the chance to take control of the Stick of Truth, but they can only use it one time. Using the Stick of Truth will allow players to choose where the storm moves next, which is the first time players have been able to control the storm themselves. This gives gamers who find the Stick of Truth a massive advantage. Choosing the next location of the storm means that players could be able to create dangerous situations for their foes, potentially forcing them to travel long distances or face the ever-increasing damage of the storm. Of course, this means the player who utilizes the Stick of Truth will also know where the storm will move next, allowing them to get to safety and gain the upper hand against enemies trying to do the same.
While Fortnite‘s new Stick of Truth mythic promises to shake up every match, players will also be able to use items like Cheesy Poofs and Kenny’s Respawn Token. During a match, gamers will be able to use Cheesy Poofs to heal themselves or damage enemies, making the item fairly versatile. Kenny’s Respawn Token will allow players to automatically reboot after they’ve been eliminated, calling back to a period of time in the show when the character Kenny would be killed off regularly, only to reappear in the next episode unharmed. Kenny’s Respawn Token seems like a more powerful version of Fortnite‘s self-revive device, which allows players who have been knocked down to rise again without any assistance from teammates.
The crossover will also include a wide variety of cosmetics, giving players plenty of ways to show off their love of the show. Fans will be able to purchase skins for Kenny, Cartman, Butters, Kyle, and Stan in Fortnite‘s Item Shop. From what was shown in the announcement trailer, it seems as if the boys will be in mech suits, similar to characters like Bart from The Simpsons and Morty from Rick and Morty. Players will also be able to earn cosmetics through the Born in Chaos Pass, which will be available to all players for free. The pass will include 13 South Park items, including the Backpack of CRED back bling, the Terrence and Phillip pickaxe, and the Cheesy Poofs Rocketship emote. With so much content to enjoy and even more just around the corner, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Fortnite.
