Where to Find Helium in StarRupture

Helium-3, more commonly referred to as just Helium in StarRupture is one of the less common resources you’ll need to harvest from Arcadia-7 as you level up your relationships with the corporations. It also requires a unique extractor in order to get it, meaning that the whole process of obtaining it on a large scale is a lot more difficult than something like Titanium or Wolfram. In this guide, I’ll explain how to get Helium, as well as how to unlock the Helium extractor in StarRupture, so you can keep completing those corporation requests.

How to Get Helium-3 in StarRupture

Helium can be obtained by harvesting large meteorites, harvesting the smaller pink/purple rocks, and using a Helium extractor on a Helium vent on the planet’s surface. I’ve explained each of these in more detail below.

The large meteorites that you get meteorite hearts from in StarRupture can sometimes have pink or purple patches on them. By aiming your harvester at these, you’ll harvest a small amount of Helium.

While this method works for getting small amounts, it’s not enough to help fulfill large orders from the corporations.

Finding Small Purple Rocks for Helium

Another method of getting small amounts of Helium requires you to seek out the small rocks that essentially look like mini meteorites dotted around the map. Some of these will be white, others silver, bronze, and if you’re lucky, you’ll find some that are pink/purple and are emitting a gas.

Use your harvester on these, and you can get a small amount of Helium-3 from them.

The best way to get Helium is to use a Helium extractor on a vent that’s emitting huge amounts of the gas on the planet’s surface. The easiest one to reach can be found east of your base, shown in the map screenshot below.

You can spot Helium deposits from a distance by looking for a large pink patch on the planet’s surface with gas coming out of the center of the area. Any Helium deposit you’ve already found will be marked on your map as a bright pink area.

Be careful when heading out here for the first time. The surrounding area has a number of enemies, including ranged ones which will spit green venom at you from a distance. Make sure you’ve got plenty of weapons and ammo to help you take care of them.

Once you get here, you’ll need a Helium Extractor. To unlock these, you must reach level 6 with the Slenian Corporation. As with any of the extractors, you’ll need to place it directly onto the deposit itself and give it a power source. When this is done, the extractor will get to work harvesting Helium from the source, allowing you to complete any requests that the corporations have.
