ARC Raiders’ New Week 10 Trials Include One Challenge Players Won’t Want to Mess Up

ARC Raiders gives players their first look at the trials for Week 10, which includes one challenge players will want to pay close attention to.

How to Complete Sparks Fly Mission for Apollo in ARC Raiders

After completing various survey missions for Shani and Celeste, players will be tasked with completing a series of test runs by Apollo. He wants players to test out all the explosives he has designed to destroy ARC enemies. One of such quests is the infamous What Goes Around mission, and next in line comes Sparks Fly, which basically consists of destroying Hornets using Trigger’ Nades or Snap Blast Grenades.

But to complete this task, players will have to survive being under the aim of a Hornet, which is not an easy task. Less if they are surrounded by other ARC Enemies like Wasps and, if they’re unlucky enough, a Rocketeer. Plus, they need to be extremely careful not to draw too much attention, since other players might hunt them down as they focus on completing the mission. Here’s an easy step-by-step to complete it fast.

Going topside in ARC Raiders requires a solid loadout to handle both ARC enemies and hostile PvP players.

If using Trigger’ Nades

Trigger Nade in ARC Raiders

Always make sure the Hornet is actually destroyed by the explosion of the grenades and not by collision against walls or the ground, because it will not count for the mission. Follow these steps to complete it.

  1. Step near a door and make sure there’s a Hornet around.
  2. Draw its attention by shooting it, preferably, with an equipped Silencer.
  3. Wait until the Hornet is near the door and wait unti lit shoots.
  4. Use the door frame to cover and immediately prepare the Trigger’ Nade.
  5. Aim for the lower side of the Hornet (belly) and stick the Trigger’ Nade there.
  6. Close the door and press the trigger to destroy the Hornet.

There was a bug that prevented the completion of this quest, but it’s already fixed. If players are having trouble destroying the Hornet with the explosion of the Trigger’ Nade or Snap Blast, they should weaken the Hornets first with a few shots before launching the grenades.

If using Snap Blast

Snap Blast Grenade ARC RAiders

Carry at least 2 Snap Blast grenades just in case. Make sure to face the Hornets with them away from walls or rooftops, to avoid the impulse from the explosion to force a collision blast. Otherwise, the mission progression will be blocked. Follow these steps to effectively destroy a Hornet using Snap Blast Grenades:

  1. Approach the Hornet while it’s distracted and attach a Snap Blast to its bottom.
  2. Follow up with a single shot from an Anvil or Ferro, then wait for the Snap Blast to trigger.
  3. Use two Snap Blast Grenades in quick succession to ensure the Hornet is destroyed.

Remember, this needs to be done really fast to avoid an explosion caused by the collision of the ARC drone against walls or the ground.
