Ghost of Yotei Legends: How to Emote

By newsgame

Most online co-op games include emotes, allowing players to express themselves after a tough fight or simply have fun with their teammates. In Ghost of Yotei, the Legends mode includes a gesture system that lets players perform different emotes and quick speech options during missions.

To open the emote menu, press anywhere on the touchpad, which brings up a small menu. On the left side, you will see four gesture slots that can be performed using the D-pad buttons, while the right side contains four quick speech options for communication. As you progress through the different modes in Ghost of Yotei Legends, you will unlock many more gestures that can be equipped and used during co-op missions.

Once you are inside the Legends hub, walk straight ahead to find three floating rocks that act as the main interaction points. Start by interacting with the rock on the right; it opens a menu where you can modify your class. Inside this menu, you will find the Emotes tab, where you can scroll through every gesture you have unlocked, as well as the ones that are still locked. Locked gestures will display their unlock requirements underneath, letting you know exactly what activity or objective you need to complete.

You can also visit the Feats rock on the left and scroll down to the Enemies section to check additional gesture unlocks. Some gestures are tied to story missions and defeating certain enemies, while others require you to visit the Training area and complete the introductory practice challenges.

Aside from the standard gestures, the touchpad also supports swipe actions. Swiping down performs a bow, while swiping left lets your character play the Shamisen, adding a bit more personality when interacting with other players in the hub or during missions.

It is important to note that performing a gesture does not lock you into the animation as it does in some games. Simply pressing any button, such as dodge or attack, allows you to cancel the animation in case you accidentally triggered it while fighting enemies in Ghost of Yotei Legends.
