Keeping the Memory is a quest in ARC Raiders given to players by Celeste, which requires them to investigate the wreckage on Formicai Hills. Not every quest in the game is about combat or scavenging rare loot, but it also fills players in on the overarching lore of the game. The quest is relatively simple, as it’ll require you to head to the location and find a fallen soldier’s helmet, keeping Celeste’s promise alive. Here’s how to complete it.

Formicai Hills Wreckage Location in ARC Raiders (Keeping the Memory)

Once players start Keeping the Memory quest in ARC Raiders, they’ll need to reach the wreckage at Formicai Hills in the Dam Battlegrounds map. The location can be found to the south of the map, in an area named Wreckage (zoom in close on the map to view the location marker).

There’s a spawn location close by, which will make walking to the area a lot quicker. However, you may need to travel a bit to reach Wreckage and complete the quest. Once you reach the area, you’ll find a giant Derelict Baron Husk nestled in the woods. After arriving here, one of the objectives for Keeping the Memory quest will be completed, and you’ll need to tend to the next objective.

Where to Find the Helmet in ARC Raiders’ Keeping the Memory Quest

After getting close to the Derelict Baron Husk, the Keeping the Memory quest objective will be updated to “Search for the Missing Helmet” in ARC Raiders. The helmet is hidden in plain sight, as you can find it in a small bush just to the right of the Baron Husk wreckage (search the marked bush shown above).

Putting the Helmet on Pole Keeping the Memory ARC Raiders

Once you find the helmet, simply walk a bit further to the small memorial pole sticking out of the ground. The pole will have a holographic image of the helmet, making it easy to spot the location. After you put the helmet on the pole, Keeping the Memory quest will be marked as completed.

Completing Keeping the Memory ARC Raiders

Now, simply extract from Dam Battlegrounds and claim 5x Simple Gun Parts, 5x Duct Tape, and 5x Magnets as a quest completion reward for Keeping the Memory in ARC Raiders.

Can’t Complete Keeping the Memory Quest in ARC Raiders (Workaround)

There are instances where players are unable to complete the Keeping the Memory quest in ARC Raiders due to one of the following reasons.

The helmet is missing from the place indicated above.
There’s a helmet already placed on the pole.

This is definitely not intentional and is probably a quest bug that will hopefully get patched out in the future. Until then, it’s recommended to head into the mission with a free loadout and check whether you’ve spawned near the Formicai Hills. If you haven’t spawned near the area, hit “Surrender” and retry until you finally spawn there.

As soon as you spawn near the Formicai Hills, head to the Baron Husk and try completing the quest quickly.

If the match timer has elapsed past 20 minutes, there’s a chance someone might already have completed the quest.
