Winterfest is one of the most anticipated events of the year, and now that it is here, some players may be wondering when it ends. After all, players only have a limited time to claim all of their presents. For those unsure of when the event wraps up, here is the end date and time for Fortnite’s Winterfest Event.

When Does Fortnite Winterfest End?

While the in-game end date for the event points to January 4, when players head to the cabin in the main lobby, the Fortnite Winterfest Event for 2025 actually officially ends on January 5 at 9 AM ET. For those unsure of when the Winterfest Event ends in their region, see our breakdown below:

This is also the date when the Winterfest Cabin closes, leaving until the morning of January 5 for players to claim all 14 of their presents and rewards via the cabin. Remember, present openings do not stack this Winterfest, so if you have missed more than 4 days of opening presents, you may miss out on claiming all the rewards.

Players can officially open Glacial Dummy as early as December 24 if they have opened every present from day one (thanks to a bug that allowed players to open two presents on December 18), and then Cheeks on December 30. As for other content, January 5 should also see the removal of all other Winterfest content.

This includes the Winterfest Quests, which run up to January 5, the holiday-themed POIs and map changes for Battle Royale, along with the removal of all Winterfest Loot, like the Icy Feet, Holiday Presents, and more. If players also tune into Battle Royale on the final day of the year, expect to look out for the New Year’s mini-event to celebrate the transition from 2025 to 2026.
