Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Adds One of the Biggest Games of 2025
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is now available on Xbox Game Pass, having launched across two of its tiers. This is the 12th new title to reach the subscription service in November 2025, as well as the 201st Xbox Game Pass release of the year.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is one of the biggest games of 2025, both in terms of budget estimates and revenue expectations. Its key selling points include a campaign that can be played solo and in squad-based co-op, 16 6v6 multiplayer maps, two large-scale 20v20 battlegrounds, and the series’ biggest round-based Zombies map yet, Ashes of the Damned.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Now Available on 2 Xbox Game Pass Tiers
The latest Call of Duty entry launched on November 14. As was the case with its immediate predecessor, Black Ops 7 is a day-one Xbox Game Pass title, available on two tiers of the service: PC and Ultimate. The PC version weighs around 116GB, with its console counterparts being slightly smaller. Xbox Game Pass members who are low on storage space but have access to high-speed internet can also experience Black Ops 7 via Xbox Cloud Gaming, which has recently expanded to all non-PC tiers of the subscription service.
When Will Black Ops 7 Come to Xbox Game Pass Premium?
On October 1, Microsoft committed to bringing Xbox-published titles to Game Pass Premium within a year of their debuts on the Ultimate and PC tiers. That pledge, combined with the company’s previous track record with XGP Standard, suggests that Black Ops 7 may reach the Premium library sometime between May and November 2026. Whether that actually happens remains uncertain, especially given that Black Ops 6 has still not arrived on the middle tier of the service despite celebrating its first anniversary in late October 2025.
The launch of Black Ops 7 concludes the Xbox Game Pass Wave 1 lineup for November 2025. Microsoft is expected to announce the roster for the second half of the month on or around November 19, when Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is scheduled to reach the service following a minor, month-long delay.

The latest Xbox Game Pass revamp saw Microsoft commit to delivering more than 75 day-one releases to the service’s Ultimate tier per year. There are currently over two dozen such titles confirmed for 2026, including Fable, Subnautica 2, Forza Horizon 6, Tropico 7, and Mixtape—which was originally a 2025 title before getting delayed earlier in November. Halo: Campaign Evolved, Super Meat Boy 3D, Wildekin, Planet of Lana 2, and There Are No Ghosts at the Grand are also part of the Xbox Game Pass 2026 roadmap. None of these day-one titles have firm release dates yet, though a few—such as TCG Card Shop Simulator—have been announced as targeting Q1 2026 debuts.
