Genshin Impact Leak Reveals Map Expansion for Version 6.3
A reliable source has revealed that Genshin Impact will take its players to Piramida and Lake Amsvartnir in Version 6.3, the location mentioned by Varka during his Archon Quest debut. While the content drought in Genshin Impact has sparked some frustration among its fans, Version 6.3 is at least expected to add the second part of Nod-Krai’s archipelago. Version 6.3 is also rumored to introduce Columbina to the playable cast as a 5-Star Hydro Catalyst, effectively fulfilling the role of Nod-Krai’s Archon equivalent.
Not much is known about Piramida and Lake Amsvartnir, but Piramida itself has been presented as a city in northern Nod-Krai – the headquarters of the Lightkeepers, built on top of the ruins of an ancient castle. Genshin Impact players can spot the silhouette of Piramida from the lighthouse telescope at the Final Night Cemetery, but will otherwise need to wait until Version 6.3 to set foot in the city itself. Given that Version 6.2 has no map expansion in Genshin Impact, it’s no secret that many fans are excited about finally getting more exploration content.
Genshin Impact May Add Second Half of Nod-Krai in Version 6.3
According to Uncle Teyvat, a reliable authority when it comes to map leaks in Genshin Impact, Version 6.3 will seemingly add a landmass north of Paha Isle comprised of two islands, featuring Piramida and Lake Amsvartnir. In terms of scope, players can expect an area comparable to Version 6.0, roughly the size of two Acotpans. While the community feels like Genshin Impact has neglected the exploration side of the game, the map expansion in Version 6.3 does appear to be worth the wait. Fans can enjoy a sneak peek of the upcoming zone as Version 6.3’s landmass shows up on the satellite image of Teyvat (as of Version 6.0). Given that Nod-Krai in Genshin Impact is presumably comprised of five large islands, Version 6.3 will either be the penultimate or final map expansion for the region.
Version 6.3 is also expected to add new Liyue characters to Genshin Impact, as its second half will take place during the Lantern Rite for 2026. On top of an annual 4-Star, the 5-Star is rumored to be the Celadon Mare, the golden-eyed daughter of Istaroth and one of the Adepti of Liyue. Unlike Version 4.4, the Lantern Rite in 2026 will not come with a map expansion of its own, even though many players are hoping to see Blackcliff Forge at some point in Genshin Impact‘s content cycle.
As for what players can await in future content updates, both for the Nod-Krai era and beyond, Liben was recently datamined to speak of Dornman Port, a key subregion of Mondstadt that’s been teased since Genshin Impact‘s earliest days. Given the recent focus on Mondstadt characters like Varka and Durin in Genshin Impact, the developers may be setting up Dornman Port as a stepping stone to Snezhnaya, either as a standalone zone added in late Nod-Krai, or even as a region of its own. Version 6.3 is set to come out in January 2026.
