Updated on December 23, 2025, by Ashely Claudino: On September 30, 2025, the Heavenly Spear expansion pack was released for Age of Mythology: Retold. Besides the various pantheons that players already had in the base game, those who purchased the DLC got access to a series of Japanese deities and pantheons. This allowed them to explore all sorts new strategy, become acquainted with new titans from Japanese mythology. These additions added replay value to the game and gave players another reason to sink dozens of hours back into Age of Mythology. We have updated this guide with information on the cheat codes added to Age of Mythology: Retold in the latest expansion pack. Nine brand-new cheat codes were introduced to the game, making it easier to summon heroes and other special characters.
How to Use Cheats in Age of Mythology: Retold
Gamers who want to activate cheats in Age of Mythology: Retold will have to do it through the chat box, which they can access by pressing Enter on PC or selecting the Open Chat option in the Pause menu on Xbox.
Then, when they know which cheat they want to activate, all they need to do is type the cheat code and send the message to activate it. It is important that players type each cheat exactly right, as the system is case sensitive and will only work if players write the cheat codes in all capital letters. Below, gamers will find a list of all the cheats that work in the Age of Mythology: Retold base game and its DLC, Heavenly Spear.
Age of Mythology: Retold Cheats
In total, there are 48 cheat codes that can be used in the Age of Mythology base game. Some change settings and allow players to customize how they want to play the game, some provide useful items and loot, some are extremely silly and will get a laugh out of almost any player, and others are extremely overpowered, allowing players to use god powers whenever they please.
The cheat codes that players decide to use is up to them, and it depends on the kind of experience that they want from Age of Mythology: Retold. Heavenly Spear DLC Cheat Codes
Players might’ve been familiar with most of the cheat codes that worked in Age of Mythology: Retold, as many of them were already available in the original version of the game. As for the Heavenly Spear DLC codes, they are all new and provide unique effects.
Since these codes are all related to units added to the game with the Heavenly Spear DLC, players that only own the base game will not be able to activate them. If they attempt to use them, nothing will happen.
