Xbox Game Pass Adds 2024 Game with ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ Reviews

Xbox Game Pass has added TCG Card Shop Simulator to its library. This is the 19th new title to join the service in February 2026 and the 37th Xbox Game Pass release since the beginning of the year.

Developed by OPNeon Games, a one-person studio in Malaysia, TCG Card Shop Simulator originally launched in early access in September 2024. Since then, it has amassed over 31,000 “Overwhelmingly Positive” user reviews on Steam, thus establishing itself as one of the highest-rated simulation games of 2024. Its period of timed PC exclusivity officially concluded earlier today, February 24, when the indie game launched for the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

Xbox Game Pass Launch Crashes TCG Card Shop Simulator Servers

As previously promised, the console versions of TCG Card Shop Simulator arrived alongside the game’s Xbox Game Pass launch. The latest Game Pass lineup announcement on Xbox Wire lists the title only for the Xbox Series X/S, PC, and cloud, but its Xbox Store page says it is also available on the Xbox One. Microsoft’s subscription service has already driven a significant increase in players, causing the game’s servers to go down on February 24. Connectivity was restored as of 2:44 a.m. ET, according to OPNeon Games.

Based on its Steam reviews, TCG Card Shop Simulator appears poised to bolster the lineup of accessible simulation games on Microsoft’s subscription service. Many players praise the game for delivering a low-stress shopkeeping experience that feels both cozy and addictive. Several top-rated reviews also highlight its humor, noting that it makes light of trading card game buying habits and customer behavior. Mod support has drawn extensive praise from Steam users, though that feature is not available to Xbox console players.

Two more titles are confirmed to be coming to Xbox Game Pass before the end of February 2026. The first of those is Dice A Million, a deck-building roguelite scheduled to arrive tomorrow, February 25, but only for PC. The 1.0 release of Towerborne will follow a day later, roughly ten months after its debut in Game Preview for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. As is often the case, the 1.0 launch will also see Towerborne expand to the Premium tier of the service.

Looking ahead, the first Xbox Game Pass additions for next month are set to arrive on March 3, when Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and Final Fantasy 3 join the service. That date is also expected to bring the announcement of the full Wave 1 lineup for March 2026, as Microsoft has historically favored the first Tuesday of the month for such reveals. The Wave 1 roster is already confirmed to include Planet of Lana 2 and Nova Roma, scheduled to launch on March 5 and March 26, respectively.
