Pokemon GO Reveals January 2026 GO Pass Rewards
Pokemon GO has unveiled the rewards players can pick up for purchasing the January 2026 GO Pass, with Dialga as its spotlight Pokemon. The massively popular mobile game based on the monster-catching franchise has given fans lots to be excited about throughout the closing months of 2025. Pokemon GO kicked off the first part of its Winter Holiday event on December 18, featuring new festive variants of Pokemon like Sudowoodo and Charjabug alongside boosted spawns for some snowy Pokemon. However, even with the holiday event’s launch, developer Scopely is already looking ahead at what’s to come in 2026.
As Pokemon GO closes out 2025, the mobile game has already started to tease fans with some of its plans for the next calendar year. Scopely has already confirmed the next edition of the game’s popular Pokemon GO Tour event, with GO Tour: Kalos scheduled to be held in cities around the world in February. The popular GO Fest will also be making a return later in 2026, with Pokemon GO‘s biggest festivities of the year planned for June in the United States, Germany, and Japan. Now, Pokemon GO is preparing to kick off 2026 with its first premium GO Pass of the year.

Pokemon GO officially revealed the details for its January 2026 GO Pass through the game’s social media accounts. January’s GO Pass will feature a special encounter with one of the franchise’s most iconic Legendary Pokemon, giving fans the opportunity to catch Dialga with the chance of a shiny version. GO Pass Deluxe will also gift fans with a special, highly sought-after item as a reward, with the Lucky Trinket used to turn one in-game friend into a Lucky Friend. Pokemon GO‘s January 2026 GO Pass will release on January 6 at 10:00 A.M. local time and will be available until 10:00 A.M. local time on February 3.
Pokemon GO‘s newest GO Pass will bring plenty of rewards beyond its featured Pokemon for fans to enjoy. Fans purchasing the GO Pass will benefit from boosts to Stardust, XP, and Max Particles earned throughout the month of January. GO Pass Deluxe will give out a Super Incubator to players, as well as other premium items like Premium Battle Passes, Incense, and Lure Modules, among others. January’s GO Pass will also feature even more boosts for reaching specific tiers, raising Gift caps at Rank 25, doubling the duration of Daily Adventure Incense at Tier 50, and giving additional rewards for raids at Tier 75.
Pokemon GO should give fans a plethora of chances to quickly rack up levels on their GO Pass throughout January. Scopely has already revealed two Community Day events set to run during January, with Piplup featuring on January 4 and Grookey on January 18. Pokemon GO has also unveiled a special event to kick off the new year, featuring costumed New Year’s variants of Pokemon like Pikachu, Hoothoot, and Jigglypuff. Scopely even teased a new Pokemon coming to the game in January, with the Pinch Perfect event introducing ninth-generation Pokemon Klawf alongside the shiny variant of Dhelmise.
Beyond Pokemon GO‘s holiday festivities, Scopely has given fans some exciting changes to the game throughout recent months. Pokemon GO officially introduced its “Forever Friends” status, finally adding the ability for fans to Remote Trade through the newly added friendship tier. A brand-new Research event is also giving fans the chance to pick up one of the most elusive items in the game, with players once again able to get the Master Ball through Masterwork Research: A Precious Catch. Pokemon GO players should have plenty to look forward to as the mobile game marches into 2026.
