After the fight, when Shroud is on the roof, players will get multiple options when he asks Robert to give him the Astral Pulse. Since a lot of players will be curious to know what happens if they choose to give the Prototype or both, this guide helps with all the outcomes of this decision in Dispatch.
The guide contains spoilers for Dispatch Episode 8.
Should You Give Shroud The Astral Pulse or the Prototype in Dispatch Episode 8?
After Shroud grabs Beef and threatens to harm it, Robert will make his way to the roof to confront the villain. Here you will have three choices to work with: either give Shroud the Astral Pulse, give him the Prototype, or give him both. Even though the choice might sound like it’s a major decision in the final episode, it is not.
If you decide to give Shroud the Astral Pulse, he will tell Robert that he knew you would be sensible. He will use the Astral Pulse to power himself up, as well as all the other Red Ring members.
If you decide to give Shroud the Prototype, on the other hand, he will pause for a second before throwing the Prototype away, saying he knew we would do this. After this, he will ask for the Astral Pulse again, and the scene will play out the same way.
Should You Give Shroud Both in Dispatch Episode 8?
If you decide to go for the second option and give him both the Astral Pulse and the Prototype, instead of having his calm and composed demeanor, Shroud will be confused. He will ask Robert why there are two Astral Pulses in his hands, to which Robert will reply that he doesn’t know what he is thinking himself to confuse Shroud.
Shroud will take a minute to try to figure out which is the real Astral Pulse and throw the other one away. After inserting the pulse into his head and powering up, what most players will expect is the same cutscene. However, this is not the case because Shroud will start vomiting due to the mistake he made. Despite not being in the best shape, he will still pull out his revolver and aim it at Robert. The revolver scene also happens for the other choices as well, so the overall outcome is the same, with small changes in how it leads to the moment.
After the whole scene, you will get another important decision, after which the whole season will end, but you can still replay the episode to watch all the different outcomes for yourself.
