What Does the Cat Do in No, I’m Not a Human?

The Cat is foretold to be an important piece of the puzzle in No, I’m Not a Human, but what does this feline friend actually do?

Updated on December 20, 2025, by Jake Fillery: No, I’m Not a Human initially launched with 10 endings, but the recent Usual Suspects Update released on December 18, 2025, has provided yet another unique and secret ending to uncover. Whether you want to unlock the new ending in No, I’m Not a Human, or you’re looking for a guide to unlock them all, we’ve got you covered on how to get all 11 endings in No, I’m Not a Human.

How to Get the In the Dark Ending

Made it Alone, Until the End

The In the Dark ending is the newest ending featured in No, I’m Not a Human, which is available in the Usual Suspects update. Players can get this ending by reaching Day 13 while there are at least 2-3 people still in the house. You will now need to kill everyone inside on Day 13. Upon sleeping and boarding the windows on Day 14, the final cutscene will begin with the protagonist sitting alone with a gun.

How to Get the Yes, I’m Alone Ending

Let Him In

To get the Yes, I’m Alone ending, players must tell the Pale Visitor, noted for his shirtless appearance, tall physique, and terrifying grin, that they are alone. The Pale Visitor will appear on Day 3, Day 5, Day 9, and Day 11. Answering “I’m alone” to his question will begin the cutscene that has the Pale Visitor break the Protagonist’s door down and strangle him to death.

How to Get The End? Ending

Survive Till the End

The End? Ending can be achieved by reaching Day 14 with only Human Guests in your house. You cannot obtain this ending if there is a single Visitor at your home. As such, it’s advised to know how to make sure you only have Human Guests, which we’ve outlined in this guide here. You should only accept guaranteed Human Guests into your home, or thoroughly check anyone you’ve let inside. The ending itself has the Protagonist and the rest of the survivors hiding in the basement for a month, until the sun returns to normal, and life inevitably turns to how it was before the Visitors turned the world upside down.

How to Get the No, I’m Not Alone Ending

You Survived… But So Did Some Visitors

To get the No, I’m Not Alone ending, you will need to keep at least one Visitor alive during Day 14, the last day. We have a list of the guaranteed Visitors you can get right here. For this ending, you simply want to just allow everyone inside, as it’s inevitable that you’ll let in a Visitor or two, or even more. We recommend trying to keep the Cat Lady, as she may be a Visitor, but she doesn’t kill. The ending itself has the Protagonist and the Visitors (disguised as Visitors) hide in the basement, but the Visitors eventually single out the Protagonist and kill them.

How to Get the Wrath of the Vigilante Ending

Revenge Written On a Bullet

This achievement can be earned on Day 10 or Day 12, where the Armed Gunman will show up at your front door and ask you to prove that you are not a visitor. In order to get the Wrath of the Vigilante ending, you will need to fail the Armed Gunman’s test, and here are all the ways to fail his test:

  • Show your Teeth – The protagonist has straight white teeth, but they can become yellow by smoking cigarettes; this only lasts a day.
  • Show your Hands IF you’ve been digging a tunnel in the basement (only available after you let the Cat Lady inside).
  • Show your Eyes IF you drank an energy drink or a coffee on Day 10 or Day 12.
  • Show your Armpits IF you haven’t cleaned yourself by inspecting your Armpits in the mirror, as they will be covered in fungus.
  • Show your Ears – Only available on Day 12, and the Armed Gunman doesn’t see it as an official symptom.

Showing any signs of being a Visitor will lock you into an ending cutscene, where the Armed Gunman and the Protagonist open fire from behind the door. The cutscene ends with the Protagonist, wounded but alive, and the Gunman dead. The Protagonist takes up the role of the Armed Gunman in a crazed murder spree.

How to Get the Yes, I’m a Murderer Ending

So… Much… Blood…

For the Yes, I’m a Murderer ending, you will need to kill 4 Human Guests in one Day. The best way to do this is on Day 9, as you will be forced to accept 3 Cultists into your home, all of whom are Human Guests. It’s best to come prepared, as you can only kill people with energy, which you can get from coffee and Enerjeka, ordered on the phone by calling ForRest at 007890. You will also need another Human Guest, so make sure you’ve selected someone from the guaranteed list of Humans found here. Now, kill all 4 Human Guests (3 Cultists and 1 normal Human), and when you answer the door that following night, the Bald Prophet will be there, and a cutscene begins. Survivors will drag the Protagonist out of their home and beat them in a nearby field, leaving them there to burn to death when the sun comes up, proclaiming their fear and murder to be no worse than a Visitor.

How to Get the Embrace the Inevitable Ending

Meet Death

The Embrace the Inevitable ending requires players to follow the Bald Prophet’s words, which begin on Day 4. Here’s the exact order of steps to follow:

  • Let the Cat Lady inside on Day 4.
  • Don’t test a single Guest on Day 6 and Day 7.
  • Enter the basement and begin digging on Day 10. (This consumes 7 energy in total, so do this over the course of 2 days or with energy items).
  • Speak with the Bald Prophet on Night 12, who tells you to jump into the hole.
  • Enter through the tunnel you dug in the basement and head left, right, right, left. Jump into the hole by the miner.
  • Walk towards the entity to trigger the cutscene.

This ending has the Protagonist embrace the embodiment of Death, and enter into their own perfect isolation of paradise. There is no day or night here, just a coldness that feels like comfort, but was the tunnel ever real, or was it just symbolism for suicide?

How to Get the Child of Doom Ending

Find the Harbinger of a New Faith

The Child of Doom ending is the most RNG-focused ending of all, as players will need to keep playing until they manage to get the Seductive Woman to appear at their door. Not only will players need the Seductive Woman to appear, but they will also need her to be a Human Guest, and not a Visitor. This Human Guest is unique, as they will stay in the Bedroom and sleep with the player. Players will need to speak with the Seductive Woman across 3 different nights, until eventually, she will be found dead during the day with her stomach burst open. Here’s what you must then do on the same day:

  • Interact with the curtains in the bedroom to hear the sounds of a crying baby.
  • Interact with the fetus found on the ceiling fan in the Living Room.
  • Interact with the bowl under the bathtub in the Bathroom.
  • Go to bed to enter the night.
  • Exit the Bedroom and look out of the left window to see the baby feeding on a dog’s milk.
  • Interact with the front door to trigger the ending cutscene.

This is one of the more obscure endings, but it sees the Survivors worship the baby, perhaps as the Antichrist, set upon the Earth upon its final days, while the Protagonist is thrown to the streets and crucified as a prophet.

How to Get the Welcome to FEMA Ending

Get a New Job

The Welcome to FEMA ending requires players to complete a specific line of dialogue chains from Day 3 to Day 8, all to do with FEMA. Here’s what you need to do in order:

  • On Night 4, respond to FEMA with the following:

    • Are you alone?
    • Why are you in protective gear?
    • Should we be wearing that too?
    • So what happens next?
    • Do I need to pack?
  • On Day 5, call FEMA (00-451) and ask about eyes, hands, and armpits.
  • On Day 5, use the FEMA Notice (given on Night 4) to any Guest.
  • On Night CHECK, respond to FEMA with the following:

    • What about the last inspection?
    • Fine. If there’s no other way
  • On Night 7, accept the Burned Man into your home to receive another FEMA Notice.
  • On Day 8, give the FEMA Notice to any Guest.
  • On Day 8, call FEMA and ask about ears.
  • On Night 8, a FEMA agent will recruit you at the door.

Being compliant with FEMA and helping them in any way possible will allow you to become a FEMA agent and showcase a secret ending where you leave your home and join them. The Protagonist seems scared, but excited to join an organization with so many people with a new purpose.

How to Get the May Death Cleanse Us of Our Sins! Ending

Join the Cultists’ Ritual

If players want the May Death Cleanse Us of Our Sins! ending, then they will need to keep the three Cultists alive. The three Cultists will appear on Night 8, and cannot be refused by the Cultist Leader who arrives at your door. At this point, RNG is against you, as Day 9 and Day 10 can have FEMA agents appear to take people away, and a Cultist might be their victim. It’s advised to save as soon as you get the Cultists inside, and to stock up on Human Guests so they can be taken instead.

The FEMA agents will take random people, and if even one of the three Cultists has been taken or killed, the Cult Leader will act as if all of them are dead and lock you out of the ending. You need to keep the 3 Cultists alive until Night 11, where the Cult Leader will appear and congratulate you for giving his sheep refuge, and you can respond, “I have long wanted to find peace… I am coming with you.” This unlocks a secret ending where the Protagonist joins the Death Cult and burns in the sun with a cultist shroud to cover their corpse, embracing death to be at peace.

How to Get the Shroom or Doom Ending

Perform the Mushroom Ritual

In order to get the Shroom or Doom ending, you must first let the Cat Lady inside, who appears on Day 4. After, the Mushroom Eater will visit on Day 6 (or potentially later, as it’s unknown if this is RNG). The Mushroom Eater will not come inside, but instead give you pages from the Book of Smiles, which you must accept. The pages can be found on your bedside table in your bedroom, but here’s what you need to do, in order:

  • Enter the basement and click the mushroom found on the left with a bunch of potatoes. (The basement becomes available in the corridor after letting the Cat Lady inside)
  • Enter the kitchen and eat the mushroom that’s now in the fridge.
  • On the next day, enter the hall and eat the apple that’s on the shelf beside Toto, your childhood toy.
  • Enter the bedroom and interact with the clock above your bed (this needs to be done the day after the apple).
  • Survive the remaining Days until the Mushroom Eater visits. On his third visit, he will invite you to join him in Mushroom Land. Say yes.

The Protagonist and the Mushroom Eater will venture below the ground to Mushroom Land, but it seems that they were too late, and the doors to the kingdom remain closed as giant mushrooms build new cities on the surface, leaving the two characters to remain in the cold and dark.

Unlocking all endings will provide players with the Everywhere at the End of Time achievement.
