While everybody can complete Field Research Tasks for free, you need to pay $1.99 to unlock the Premium Timed Research this Celestial Research Day. Whether you’re paying for the Timed Research or not, all trainers have between 2pm and 5pm on December 20 to take part in Celestial Research Day in Pokemon GO and claim their rewards.
