By newsgame

Fortnite players might notice that there are certain actions that they perform that cause Shiny Llamas to appear seemingly out of nowhere. If they aren’t familiar with this item and understand what it’s for, it might confuse them to see them pop out of the blue as loot, as they appear to have no purpose in-game.

How Morphite Weapons Work in Fortnite

Morphite weapons are game-changers in Fortnite – here’s where to find them and how to use them.

What Are Shiny Llamas in Fortnite?

Shiny Llamas are a limited-time resource in Fortnite that players must collect in order to complete the Squad Up! Quests and earn the Starbrite Slasher Pickaxe.

In-game, Shiny Llamas have no actual purpose, as they can’t be exchanged for better loot or used to obtain any other resource. However, if players want to complete quests and earn a free cosmetic while they’re at it, they’re definitely worth grabbing.

How to Find Shiny Llamas in Fortnite

Shiny Llamas can only be found in Battle Royale game modes, which include BR, Fortnite OG, Reload, and Blitz Royale. However, they are exclusive to Squads playlists, so gamers will not be able to collect them when playing Solos, Duos, or Trios.

Shiny Llamas will spawn when players eliminate opponents, open Rare chests, find Supply Drops, and take out bosses in Fortnite. Shiny Llamas are only around for a couple of weeks, so gamers will no longer be able to find them in-game after January 5, 2026.

The best way to farm Shiny Llamas in Fortnite is to play game modes that allow players to easily get a higher number of eliminations, such as Blitz Royale and Reload.
