Best Monoco Build In Expedition 33
Monoco is one of the most unique Gestrals in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Players will meet him at Monoco’s Station, and soon learn that he has the ability to turn into a Nevron. Monoco does this by collecting Nevron feet, although the exact process is unknown.
Thanks to his love of collecting Nevron feet, Monoco has a large variety of skills to choose from. This allows him to do so much during combat, including healing, buffing, debuffing, dealing damage, or all of these together. If players are overwhelmed by how much Monoco can do, then this guide can help by narrowing the viable setups for Monoco build in Expedition 33.
Updated on December 15, 2025, by Nahda Nabiilah: Monoco may not look like a typical Gestral in the Expedition 33 canvas, but rest assured, he is. The Gestrals were designed based on the childhood idea of a pet dog, signified by Monoco’s name, which is based on the family’s dog. Due to his origin, it’s no surprise Monoco has a thing for feet, resembling a dog’s love for bones. Monoco’s ability to steal skills from other Nevrons makes him a unique playable character in E33 who can excel in different roles and situations.
Monoco Best Support Build In Expedition 33
Monoco can be an amazing support in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Many characters can rival Monoco on DPS, but none can rival his amazing range of supportive abilities. Within his kit, Monoco can heal, shield, and buff the team or debuff enemies.

Best Pictos and Luminas (Monoco Best Support Build)

Boucheclier Fortify:
Strategy (Monoco Best Support Build)
To benefit from Monoco’s supportive role, build Monoco with the
Ballaroweapon to create a continuous AP generator. He can generate AP from multiple sources, but it’s always good to have a passive energy source.
Ballaroreverses the Bestial Wheel, and that helps the Wheel Pointer land more often on the Heavy and Caster Masks, which have the most supportive skills out of the other Masks.
Players can also use Esquiaro, which is a better weapon choice to build a support Monoco in E33. The weapon helps Monoco consistently land on the Heavy Mask, allowing him to grant his team a shield more reliably.
In both cases, this Monoco build heavily relies on the Heavy Mask because of the
Boucheclier Fortify and the
Cruler Barrier skills. Both skills allow Monoco to operate as a reliable shielder and AP generator for the team. Not to mention, with Luminas’ help, Monoco can apply Powerful and Rush on allies when putting Shell on them.
If players are using Esquiaro, Monoco can rely on his Base Attack to apply debuffs like Powerless, Defenseless, and Slow. This greatly improves the utility of his Base Attack, as it applies debuffs while also pushing him to the Heavy Mask, where he can grant a shield to his allies.
Moving to other combos for a Monoco support build, players can match the
Pelerin Heal skill with the Empowered Healer Lumina. The skill will provide healing for the entire team, while the Lumina will increase their damage by 50% for 1 turn. Keep in mind, Monoco must use
Pelerin Heal on the Caster Mask to add healing to the skill’s effect, which will then trigger the 50% damage buff.
Monoco Best DPS Build In Expedition 33
Other than a strong supportive role, Monoco can also shine as a DPS in Expedition 33. The variety in Monoco’s single and AoE attacks gives him the ability to run some of the hardest-hitting attacks alongside his supportive skills. This hybrid build allows Monoco to help the team in both the offensive and defensive departments.

Strategy (Monoco Best DPS Build)
For this Monoco DPS build in E33,
Sidarois one of the best weapons that can help achieve that goal. The main reason behind choosing that weapon is the continuous 30% damage increase on every Monoco upgraded skill. This buff has no limit to its damage increase, which means Monoco should have enough AP to keep casting upgraded skills, and his DPS will only increase from that point.
It’s easy to keep casting upgraded skills as long as Monoco has the AP and a skill from each mask. Additionally, Monoco gets a lot of AP from multiple sources, so AP won’t be an issue. Luminas like
Energising Shell,
Energising Powerful,
Energising Turn, and
Energy Master are amazing for building up Monoco’s AP every time he casts an upgraded Skill, especially
Boucheclier Fortify. Not to mention,
Sidarohelps Monoco gain some AP when casting an upgraded skill, further proving itself as one of the best weapons for DPS Monoco in Expedition 33.
Most of Monoco’s attacks are AoE in this build, with
Creation Void attacking random targets and being devastating against bosses. The idea behind this Monoco’s build is to set the field ready by the team and completely buff Monoco to deal some of the highest damage in the game.
Clair Obscur Expedition 33: Best Characters To Give Lumina Points, Ranked
While there are plenty of Lumina points to go around, some characters should be prioritized in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
Monoco’s attacks in this DPS build are designed to keep spinning the wheel in the same direction. It should always end up on the Heavy Mask, then players need to decide to jump to the Caster or the Agile Mask. Additionally, since Monoco is going for heavy-hitting attacks, they’re going to be costly. So, players can always cast low-cost skills at the Heavy and Caster Masks. On the Heavy Mask, players can cast the
Boucheclier Fortify to fill the AP of Monoco alongside his allies.
