I’m Part of the 1% in Dispatch, and it’s the Only 1% Worth Being in
There are SPOILERS ahead for Dispatch.
Forget being a billionaire. Not only do I enjoy life a little too much to spend that much time working, but I also cannot morally abuse those reliant on me like that. But you’re not here for a diatribe about the world’s many billionaires and how they hoard and abuse wealth, just know in your heart of hearts that there’s nothing ethical about that 1%; you’re here because you wish to be part of the 1% that matters, the Dispatch players who’ve fully explored Mecha Man’s possible relationships with Invisigal or Blonde Blazer, saved the Southlands from the Red Ring, and heard a distinct pop that’s been impossible to hear for weeks.
I’ve always loved Telltale-style games, so it should come as no surprise that Dispatch is one of my favorite games of the year. I don’t think I can ever forgive Wuthering Waves, a game released in 2024, for stealing the Players’ Voice award from Dispatch this year, and I maintain a year without Expedition 33 would have seen it win the Debut Indie award. But I guess that’s neither here nor there. As fans know, Dispatch’s platinum trophy was bugged when Episodes 7+8 came out, with the fix releasing a few weeks ago. Over the weekend, I returned to Dispatch for my fourth playthrough, unlocking the previously bugged “H4ck3d by R0b3rt” and thus the “Dispatched” platinum trophy.

However, in surfing the interwebs for the answers to “H4ck3d by R0b3rt,” there’s still a lot of confusion around the platinum and the hacking trophy. It was with this diehard Dispatch attitude that I realized, according to PSN profiles, that only 1.3% of Dispatch players on PSN have the platinum trophy. Now, I’m no mathematician and I am not sure how the math would play out if all 2 million+ Dispatch (well, those on PSN) unlocked it, but this 1% actually matters. Who else is going to save SDN and regular citizens from the Red Ring? But assuming you’re stuck on “H4ck3d by R0b3rt,” I’ve gotchu.
Say Goodbye to the Infamous Hacked by Robert Bug and Hello to Dispatch’s Platinum Trophy
In this 1%, we care about each other and the Southlands, so this is for those who come after. But I have to thank Steam Community member Cloud for helping me out and also getting me into the 1%. Wherever you are, I thank you for your service. So, let’s get into it.
Dispatch Chapters 1 and 2 do not have any hacking sequences that can be easily missed, meaning theoretically players can start this quest by replaying a save and starting with Chapter 3. On the other hand, Dispatch is really good and you want to be sure, so I started with Chapter 1 as well. I just recommend starting from the beginning to enjoy it all again and to get into the mindset of tracking that you’ve done all of these.
If players mess up on any of these hacks, it’s recommend you quit and load the last save ASAP to prevent the fail from appearing on your SDN record. That would put you at the bottom of the leaderboard, dear reader.
Chapter 1 Hacks
Chapter 2 Hacks
- Minor Violence
- Museum Robbery
- Invisigal’s Fight Scene, Part I
- Invisigal’s Fight Scene, Part 2
Chapter 3 Hacks
Got those? Good. Time to lock in. According to the SDN manual, “SDN prohibits employees, clients, or anyone engaging in an SDN-related activity from behaving in a violent or threatening manner.” But the Z-Team is still quite violent and threatening at this time, and the threat to layoff Sonar or Coupe has them all acting out. It is super easy to miss the Flambae hack in this level, but all you need to do is send him out with anyone except Prism early in the gameplay sequence. Because they are a synergy pair in Dispatch, they won’t sabotage each other.
Otherwise, keep an eye out for these missions and complete the hacks for them. Invisigal vs. Thundercuck Round 2 will bring in the last few hacks in Dispatch Chapter 3.
- Flambae’s Sabotage
- Hack the Scammer
- Bank Robbery
- Invisigal vs. Lightningstruck, Part 1
- Invisigal vs. Lightningstruck, Part 2
- Invisigal vs. Lightningstruck, Part 3
Chapter 4 Hacks
- Superhero Squabble
- Discern the Target
Chapter 5 Hacks
- Stalker Stalking Film Shoot
- Power Outage, First Zone
- Power Outage, Second Zone
- Power Outage, Third Zone
Players will want to keep an eye out for the Stalker Stalking Film Shoot mission, but the Power Outages have to be completed for story reasons, so don’t worry about missing them.
Chapter 6
- Cyberbully
- Invisigal at the Dock, Part 1
- Invisigal at the Dock, Part 2
- Invisigal at the Dock, Part 3
- Invisigal at the Dock, Part 4
- Invisigal at the Dock, Part 5
The hacking missions are fast and furious in the final section of this Dispatch episode, so use that adrenaline to your advantage and complete these hacks as if Mecha Man were Iron Man or something. GASP: Mecha Man. Iron Man.
Chapter 7
Chapter 8
Dispatch Chapter 8 is where things get spicy. There are a few things to take note of in this chapter. First and foremost, players will want to keep their eyes out for the “Hack for Flambae” and “Lockdown” hacks. They’ll occur naturally as The Southlands is on fire. Players may need to reload Chapter 8 to do the hacks for Coupe, Waterboy, Sonar, and/or Phenomaman, but I am not sure if that is required. This is a pain point to remain wary of, and nothing more. Hack for Flambae, hack for another, and record just in case. I achieved this on my fourth playthrough, and unless I somehow picked different heroes each time without realizing it, I think accomplishing the available hacks on one save is just enough.
After that, the final hack will be to “Defeat Mindf*cker.” There are two very important things to keep in mind. First, it’s easily missed if players beat Sonar/Coupe too fast. Players should progress the story and complete calls until they see this pop up, but hold off on the Defeat Sonar/Coupe mission that is essentially “Give Them All You Got.” For me, that was right after Blonde Blazer joined the fight. Secondly, “Defeat Mindf*cker” HAS to be completed for the Plat to pop, even if you completed whatever hack you missed prior to this. The trophy appears to be directly tied to its completion, not a general “complete all hacks” across playthroughs, but you have to do all of these before it will.
- Hack for Flambae
- Lockdown
- Coupe OR Waterboy OR Sonar OR Phenomaman
- Defeat Mindf*cker.
And once you get Dispatch‘s platinum trophy, you’re officially part of the 1.3%. There’s a good chance you’ve missed this from one of the more hidden missions or because of Mindf*cker. In the case of the latter, as a member of the 1.3%, you’re entitled to humble brag about beating Sonar/Coupe too quickly. We don’t offer many other benefits, but it’s not about us, remember? It’s about SDN and the southlands.
