Demon Prince Weakness in Elden Ring Nightreign
Elden Ring Nightreign has three days that the player must survive in order to complete an expedition. During the first and second nights, players fight against bosses that are much more difficult than the average location/area bosses. Nightreign brings in a lot of the bosses from the Dark Souls franchise, one of which can be a pain to deal with, especially if players make a not-so-obvious mistake. The guide offers information on the Demon Prince boss fight and how players can defeat it with ease.
Elden Ring Nightreign: All Boss Weaknesses
The easiest way to know how to down each of the bosses in Elden Ring Nightreign is to make sure you have an item with its weakness on it.
How to Beat Demon Prince in Elden Ring Nightreign
To fight the Demon Prince boss, players will have to load up the Balancers expedition. Selecting a Shifting Earth does not make a difference, as they can spawn in any conditions. Two possible night bosses can appear, one of them being the Demon Prince or the other being Lord of Blood, or more commonly known as Mohg from Elden Ring.
An easy way to tell which boss you will get during the second night is by checking out the boss on the first night. If it is the Curseblade and Divine Warrior duo, then you are guaranteed to get Mohg. In the second case, if you get Demon from Below and Demon in Pain, then this confirms Demon Prince as the Night 2 boss.
Now, the fight with Demon Prince actually starts on the first night. This is because during the fight with Demon in Pain and Demon from Below, depending on which boss you defeat first, you will get a different version of the Demon Prince on Night 2. Neither one of the demons is that difficult to deal with, especially in Trios.
Your goal should be to defeat the Demon in Pain first.
If you defeat the Demon from Below first, Demon Prince uses a lot of fire-throwing attacks, which are very difficult to dodge out of and could be the reason you lose out on a lot of health flasks during the fight. Meanwhile, the other version of Demon Prince is easier, mainly because of the fire beam attack. It has an attack where it leaps back and starts channeling energy, followed by a beam moving from left to right, then the other direction multiple times, covering a vast area.
You must situate yourself close to the Demon Prince, especially during the leap attack, because you need to get behind it and start hitting it as much as you can. The beam attack is quite long, so this will work out in your favor. However, you need to be careful, as it can sometimes do a different leap attack where it causes fire to spread out where it jumps up from, causing you to take serious damage.
The boss is aggressive and hits for a lot of damage, so you should alternate using your Ultimate Arts much better, especially if you have an Undertaker on your team. Once you have defeated the boss, you will get a Dormant Power and can continue onto the final area before the Balancers fight.
