Starfield Leaked for PlayStation 5 Yet Again

By newsgame

The release date for Starfield has been leaked once again for PlayStation 5, and the new source says it’ll be coming a few months after what the last major leak predicted. PlayStation 5 owners who have been waiting to dive into Starfield, Bethesda’s planet-hopping sci-fi action RPG, may now have to wait until summer is in full swing before they get that chance, assuming this new leak turns out to be correct.

Starfield was originally launched for Xbox Series X/S and PC on September 6, 2023. The first new action-RPG IP from the studio behind The Elder Scrolls and most modern Fallout games in many years, it was hyped up in a big way by both Bethesda and Microsoft, including a 40-minute-long showcase dedicated to the game that immediately followed the Xbox Games Showcase in June 2023. Ultimately, Starfield didn’t live up to that hype, receiving mixed reviews from players, who criticized its repetitive exploration, unintelligent enemy AI, shallow story, and persistent bugs that Bethesda games have been known for at launch.

New Starfield PS5 Leak Throws the Release Date Into Question

Amid the growing trend of Xbox console-exclusive games coming to PlayStation, Starfield is one that still carries a big question mark, with no official release date announced by Bethesda or its parent company, Microsoft. That hasn’t deterred fans from anticipating its PS5 release, and a new online retailer may have just spilled the beans, stating that Starfield will become available for PS5 on July 4, 2026. This information is gathered from Portuguese retailer GamingReplay, which currently lists a PS5 version of Starfield for pre-order at a price of just under 50 euros, or the equivalent of about $57 USD. There is no listing for the game on the official PlayStation Store, so this information may not be accurate or, conversely, may not be intended for public knowledge at this time.

This leaked release date contradicts an unofficial report from early February, which stated that Starfield would be releasing on PS5 on April 7, 2026. According to the February leak, which appeared to have been first reported by the website PPE, both the standard and premium editions of Starfield will be made available for PS5 on that date. A similar report from leaker Billbil-kun from around the same timeframe repeated those release date claims, predicting the price points for those editions at around 50 and 70 euros, respectively.

Neither Bethesda nor Microsoft have confirmed either of these dates for a Starfield release on PS5, nor has either company officially stated that the game will be releasing on a PlayStation console at all. Of these two leaks, the one released in February is probably the one with a more reliable backing. That article drew its information from Graczdari, a leaker who had previously given a correct prediction about the PlayStation 5 port of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 ahead of its official announcement at the September 2025 PlayStation State of Play live stream event. Meanwhile, GamingReplay will let players add the game to their carts and proceed to the checkout screen, but the website’s reliability has been called into question in the past, with cumulative TrustPilot reviews giving it just 1.9 out of five stars..

While insider sources continue to try to predict Starfield‘s possible future on PlayStation, the game’s post-launch development on Xbox and PC seems far from over. In a mid-February interview on the Kinda Funny Gamecast, Bethesda director and executive producer Todd Howard teased the future of Starfield would be revealed in the near future, saying, “We’re going to be talking about Starfield and really show that in the right way.” Howard has yet to provide any detailed explanation of what that statement means for the game, just generally noting that more updates are forthcoming.
