Not only will we see tons of exclusive trailers, gameplay, and world reveals, but we’ll get to see what the jury has decided on what is the “best” video game of 2025, as well as a bunch of other categories, like best soundtrack, best narrative, and best voice acting.

Predicting The Game Awards 2025 Game of the Year Nominations
Geoff Keighley has announced that the nominees for The Game Awards will be revealed very soon, and there are many options for GOTY 2025.
The Game Awards 2025 Start Time
The Game Awards 2025 will start with a 30-minute preshow on Thursday, December 11, at 4:30 PM Pacific Time / 7:30 PM Eastern Time. The actual show should begin around 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET. The opening usually still has some announcements, so if you don’t want to miss anything, be sure to tune in at the earlier time.
These shows tend to run for three or four hours (there are a lot of commercials!), so we expect the show to end at least by 9 PM Pacific Time / 12 AM Eastern Time, but you never know with Geoff Keighley!
