Pokemon Legends Z-A Code Gets You One of the Most Popular Pokemon of All Time

By newsgame

Pokemon Legends: Z-A trainers can now claim a free Mystery Gift for an Alpha Charizard ahead of the Mega Dimension DLC’s arrival, as The Pokemon Company dropped a new code for players to use. Pokemon Legends: Z-A players have just over a month from now to add a special Alpha Charizard to their teams.

Known as the Flame Pokemon, Charizard first appeared in Pokemon Red and Blue as the first fully evolved Fire-type Starter of the Pokemon franchise. Charizard is the final form of Charmander and Charmeleon, and it gains the Flying-type upon evolving. Charizard has been the subject of various Pokemon fan art tributes over the years, owing to the fact that it has been regarded as one of the most popular and recognizable Pokemon since the beginning of the series.

It Might Sound Strange but a Signed Kabuto Pokemon Card Sold for $51K

A signed Kabuto Pokemon card sells on an online auction for over $51k, but the reasons behind the high price are both strange and heartwarming.

  • Ralts with Gardevoirite – N/A (Get via Internet, expires February 28, 2026)

Just before the launch of the Mega Dimension DLC, Pokemon Legends: Z-A players now have a limited time to add a special Charizard to their collections. Pokemon Legends: Z-A players may use the Mystery Gift code B1G0006 until January 19, 2026, to claim an Alpha Charizard in a Cherish Ball. Charizard will be level 36, and will have a random Nature that determines its statistics. Charizard will also have the moves Flamethrower, Air Slash, Dragon Claw, and Solar Beam, all of which can be used to cover against different Pokemon types like Grass, Water, and Dragon.

The Mystery Gift function in Pokemon Legends: Z-A is automatically unlocked after completing the first few Main Missions of the game, which should take roughly an hour or two to accomplish. Alongside the Charizard Mystery Gift event, Pokemon Legends: Z-A players can also claim some nifty items to prepare for the Mega Dimension expansion, along with new Mega Stones that unlock special missions to battle and catch the legendary Pokemon Mewtwo and Diancie. Additionally, trainers have until the end of February 2026 to claim a Ralts holding a Gardevoirite Mega Stone via Mystery Gift. A Nintendo Switch Online membership is not required to redeem Mystery Gifts.

How to Train Your Charizard

In Pokemon Legends: Z-A, Charizard can normally be obtained by picking a Charmander during Side Mission 20 and evolving it, or by catching a Charmander in Wild Zone 20 after completing the main story. When fully evolved via level-ups, Charizard is a mixed attacker that can use both physical and special moves efficiently, making it a versatile option during a battle. Charizard’s Flamethrower, Dragon Rush, and Air Slash attacks can hit opponents from a distance, which can make it a threat against unsuspecting Pokemon. But, Charizard’s quadruple weakness to Rock-type attacks like Stone Edge and Power Gem makes the Flame Pokemon a glass cannon.

Charizard is also capable of Mega Evolution via the Charizardite X and Charizardite Y Mega Stones, both of which can be purchased for 100,000 PokeDollars each at the Stone Emporium in Lumiose City. While Mega Charizard X leans towards physical attacks, Mega Charizard Y is more of a special attacker, so Pokemon trainers should adjust their Charizard’s stats and effort values (EVs) accordingly.

The Charizard Mystery Gift Event Comes at a Good Time

The Alpha Charizard distribution event comes just hours before Pokemon Legends: Z-A‘s Mega Dimension expansion goes live globally. As a post-game DLC, Mega Dimension will take players to Hyperspace Lumiose, where dangerous Alpha Pokemon that have broken the traditional level cap of 100 can be found. With new Pokemon and new Mega Evolutions like Mega Lucario Z and Mega Baxcalibur to battle and catch, Pokemon Legends: Z-A‘s expansion is certain to test players’ skills. The Mega Dimension DLC is currently available on the Nintendo eShop for $29.99 on both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 consoles. All in all, Pokemon trainers looking to add some serious firepower to their team should redeem the Alpha Charizard Mystery Gift code before it’s too late.
