How to Get Easy Headshots in Black Ops 7

If you’re looking to get those elusive Mastery Camos in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, you’re going to have to complete a range of challenges with each weapon. As has always been the case, this involves racking up a serious number of headshots, but depending on your prowess with each weapon, this can be pretty difficult to do. Fortunately, there are some ways you can make this grind easier for yourself. In this guide, I’ll explain how to get easy headshots in Black Ops 7 multiplayer.

How to Get Headshot Kills Easily in Black Ops 7 Multiplayer

Getting headshots requires a high level of accuracy and familiarity with the weapon you’re using. Not only are enemies running around at high speed, heads are… obviously, a rather small target to try and hit. As such, you’ll want to use a few different methods to not only improve your accuracy with each weapon, but also improve your chances of actually getting a kill once you land some shots on an enemy’s head.

Play Hardcore Game Modes

While it’s still possible to get headshot kills in the ‘core’ versions of game modes, the Hardcore versions make things much easier thanks to the reduced health that all players have. This means that once you land one or two shots on an enemy, they’ll be killed, making headshots far easier to quickly rack up in Hardcore. Of course, this also comes with the caveat that it’s much easier for you to be killed by enemies, especially if they have faster reactions than you.

Equip an Optic & Change Your Reticle

Using the iron sights with your weapon isn’t the best way to line up headshots in Black Ops 7. As such, as soon as you can, change the optic of your weapon to either a standard red dot or holographic sight, or try something with some magnification if you prefer to pick off enemies from range (and your weapon is suited to mid-long range combat.

Black Ops 7 also gives you the option to customize the reticle itself. Choose something that you find works best for you with lining up your aim, and you’ll quickly find that the headshot kills start racking up much faster.

Learn Spawn Points & Find Good Camping Spots

While this is likely to be a controversial tip, there’s at least something a lot of players can take away from it. If you want to improve your chances of catching enemies off-guard, then learn where the spawn points are on each side of every map. This allows you to not only know where enemies are likely going to appear from, but you can also occasionally check these throughout a match in case a player has briefly gone AFK. If they have, you can take your time to line up a headshot from close range and add another to your tally without having to worry about them fighting back.

Learning the spawn points also allows you to then determine where works well for you to get a clear line of sight on ‘corridors’ they’re likely going to run down. For mid-long range weapons, this can be incredibly effective, as you can line up your sights in line with where their head is roughly going to be and make minor adjustments to your aim to quickly get headshot kills. Are you going to be unpopular with the enemy team? Yes. But are you going to have a ton of headshot kills at the end of the match? Most definitely.
