How To Start Woven With Malice in Where Winds Meet
Travel to the location marked on the map above, and look for a lonely Scholar sitting near a big bell. The location is a bit north from Buddah Fort, past the forest, and near a cliff, so players cannot miss it.
Talk to the Scholar to begin the quest. Players will have to wait a full day before the NPC is ready to talk honestly with them. So use the Clock Feature to change the Hour until the next day.
Speak to the Scholar once more and learn about the Celestial Silk Garment. Now the next step is marked on the map, and consists of going to a nearby house to find a Seamstress.
Sadly, only her apprentice, Little Needle is there, and to get her to cooperate, players need to fetch Blue, Red, and Black Pigments from the table and the brazier inside the house.

Talk to Little Needle and deliver the Pigments. Now go back to the Scholar to witness a concerning scene. Stand near the marked point to eavesdrop.
With the Scholar dead, approach to pick up a Mysterious Handkerchief from the ground. Now, according to what the Scholar said before dying, players should go looking for Monk Tranquillus. Little Needle will follow players around no matter what they do, so stick with it for the moment.
Monk Tranquillus is a bit further south of Buddah Fort, and upon arriving, he will be talking with Little Needle already (she’s fast, all right). Speak to him to spar, then use whatever means necessary to beat him into cooperation. After a bit of talking, there will be a second sparring session.
Once players beat him for the second time, they will be able to receive more information from Monk Tranquillus. Turns out, the Silkworm Lady who weaved the Celestial Silk Garment is already dead. Then, who is the mysterious woman who killed the Scholar? Turn around the Arena to find a second Handkerchief with another mysterious embroidery. Another threat.
Talk to Little Needle once more, then shoot a fire arrow at the brambles covering the cave entrance to reveal the place to set a trap for the attacker. Then, wait around for a bit until the mysterious woman reveals herself, then follow her to learn the truth: It was a setup.
Now, go back and speak to what remains of Monk Tranquillus. Turns out, there were two attackers: A woman and a man. After receiving another clue, speak to Little Needle once more. Now, it will be time to track the remaining murder target.
Travel to the south of Qinghe, near the place where the adventure started, and talk to Little Needle once more, then to the Mysterious Pavilion Owner. Wait for him to spin his tale, then set Little Needle apart to discuss matters with her. The Young Wanderer doesn’t trust the man, so it’s time for some Wuxia Sleuth. Follow these steps to discover the truth:
- Follow the man but remain at a distance. Then, wait for him to finish talking about a letter to snatch it with Celestial Seize.
- Check the nearby ruins and break the ground with Mighty Drop (Jump + Q) to reveal a basement full of explosives.
- Check the rock wall behind the tomb of the Silkworm Lady to discover a trap.
- Check near the bamboo grove, and remain sticking to the wall to eavesdrop on a conversation between two men lying in ambush.
Turns out, everything was a trap for the Two Mysterious attackers. Go back to Little Needle to warn her about the intentions of the Pavilion Master, only to discover she’s been drugged with Sleeping Gas (and so will the player).

After the cutscene is over, press Q or Spacebar to yell a warning to the Mysterious Attackers. They will defeat the Pavilion Master and the Aureate thugs who are trying to kill the player and kidnap Little Needle.
